you were looking into taking Penn State?

I've got to say man....I think I legitimately hate you.

At least I didn't say " I was looking at Michigan" :wink2: But the only reason was so Iron didn't have Ohio & PA all by himself.

I am shocked you aren't in this dynasty so you can take Penn State to make sure they suck

That's the biggest advantage to being Ohio State. There is very little recruiting competition in that part of the country compared to everyone else
Maybe for 3* and below players, but it looks like most of the 4 and 5 * guys are interested in big programs rather than staying home. Of the 7 top 100 players that only had one of our teams on their list. Only one of them had Ohio State on their list. UCLA and Texas had 3 each. Every other top 100 had at least 2 of us on their list, and most had more than that. Recruiting is going to be a bitch, and kind of easy...all at the same time.

Either way, I'm kind of hoping that Whobe takes Penn State, so I'll have a natural rival in the conference. I don't think that he's even considering them right now though. :(

But at least all of those top 100 players that are in Ohio you can easily sell them on being closer to home. :wink2:

It would have been interesting if I picked FSU, whobe took Miami and then basebuck as Florida. NOW that would have been a crazy recruiting battle for the state of Florida. As is... Georgia, Miami & Florida will still be fun for the fight in Florida.

This is why I wanted Texas so bad. Mania took them right out from under me. :(

He's got the recruiting motherload in this dynasty

that's actually intriguing to me.

I'd offer to change my TB UCLA team to my alma mater (with the same players, of course) to give IBI some competition in the NE, but I'm in California and I'm not leaving USC all alone out here.

At least Oklahoma is near there to poach from Texas to give 'mania some competition.

Plus alot of the elite teams have pipelines to Texas.

The fastest recruit in the coach mode dynasty runs a 4.32 40 yard dash. I fast forwarded through the season and into the preseason, and that 4.32 40 translated into a 95 speed rating. In NCAA '09 that would have been a 91.5 speed rating (4.31=92, 4.33=91). So. Not only did they shift what the 40 times mean, they also really toned down the number of elite speed guys in the recruiting classes. This guy was the only guy with a 4.32. I believe that there was only one guy that ran a 4.34, which, I assume, would be a 94 speed rating.

Toning that crap down AND making the 40 times more realistic makes me very happy.

So our 95+ guys from our imported teams are going to be truly elite. I'm glad the speed is under control, more skill/strategy involved now.

I tried out my UCLA team against Florida on Heisman difficulty and got smoked. TB killed my defense. My front seven is pretty horrible now. I also need to find a new playbook. The Florida playbook worked great for me in 09. It doesn't this year. I like Ohio State's now that it has a small Pistol package, so I may try that.
