New blog on the updated flexbone offense. A nice little addition, but not necessary.

Hello all, my name is Anthony White and I?m here to share with you all what work we did this year for the Flexbone offense. Going into our current development cycle for NCAA Football 10 our top playbook priority was making sure our version of the Flexbone offense is a more accurate representation of its real life counterpart. We didn?t necessarily want to just take what?s already in place on the Gen 2 versions of NCAA Football. Our goal was to take it above and beyond anything that had been done previously with the Flexbone offense on any platform.
Last summer we were able to acquire the actual coach?s game film of the Navy Flexbone offense. Having access to this valuable resource really gave us an advantage when it was time to identify what new formations that we needed to create, what plays did we need for those formations, and most importantly what new player animations we needed to mo-cap in order to get those plays working properly in our game. The results of our efforts produced eight new formations and over 200 new plays.
Here?s a look at the new formations that we created based on our film study.

Thanks Olaf. They finally made a cover at the true resolution (though admittedly I've been out of the loop in the last few years). I look forward to using these.

Jwins is there any way that you could make one of those for the 360? I'd love to have a Thad Gibson or a Pryor. Best would be Jenkins though, during a yell or something. Or one with the team doing the swarm thing before they come out on the field. That would be sweeeeeeet. I wouldn't be adverse to paying up either.

Which of these three do you guys like best? I may have some other pryor pics, but these were my three most recent ones.

Obviously I'd clean them up, cut them out, add effects, etc... but I'd rather not do that until you guys pick one.

Without a doubt, the stiff arm on Brown. I like that pose, with the front on view of the helmet and shoulder pads, but how it's slightly off center. And Brown's arm from the right is interesting. I'd go with the second one after that, the composition is nice with the extended arm, but heavy on the right with the zebra too, of course it would be edited. I do like the first pic, but it's like I've seen that before. All nice lay-outs though.

Agreed. It works well with the edge of the splotch too. It isn't the clearest pic, since it was 90+ yda away, but it is a classic

I'd cut out the spring game pryor one, and put the splotch in the bottom left under his throwing arm.

I think that Jwins just wanted us to pick which picture we liked...then he'll add the team color splatter effect ala that Sanchez one. I cast my vote for the middle picture...though the last one is badass the middle one is the best for me. Hopefully TP's throwing ratings will be pretty good this year to match the picture!
