Smooth Olaf;1626058; said:Kind of. You can bring in the Backup QB or use a two TE set and stuff, but you can't set who you want covering kicks. You can't say have your best cover linebacker, who might not be your best overall linebacker, in on all passing plays unless you actually sub him in.

False. At the risk of severe redundancy (olaf's second full sentence) You cannot bring in your undersized speed rushing DEs just for 3rd downs or coverage LBs on 3rd & long (think Tyler Moeller for Austin Spitler). You can't bring in your run stuffing LBs on 3rd & goal from the 1.For every formation in your playbook you can choose any player on your roster that isn't already in that formation and replace any player in the formation with him.
All preset, limited choices. You cannot decide what player goes where, you can pick from a list of about 8 switches, half of which are just re-shuffling the WRs or putting the starting TE into the shotgun package.I've used that to put my quality receiving TE's in 5 Wide formations, replacing my kick blocking and receiving formations with the best players, putting in HB's at QB in certain formations...so on and so forth...

Merih;1626286; said:Not true, the formation sub as you are speaking of is not available in the next gen NCAA's. They had them in the xbox and PS2 versions of the games, but not in the PS3 and XBOX 360 versions.
I have a feeling they'll be back next year, however.
