2025 NC OL David Sanders Jr. (Tennessee Verbal)

It’s been that way for a long time. When has OSU’s OL recruiting been a strong point? Even going back to Tressel years. Here and there, there will be an elite year but this is par for the course. Just hope the guys you get are developed.

Thing is though, those occasional years under Tressel that hit would give you 3 years of top end talent like with JB, Brewster, Adams. I'd gladly take an elite year once in awhile now...at least you can pair that with a developmental player and a portal hit and that's sustainable for a long stretch.

I dont understand how this model is sustainable. Someone gives this kid almost 4 million dollars and a house for his parents for what? Their favorite football team is a little better? How is that money making money?

I thought this too but I doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all if anything it’s gotten more extreme. Maybe it’s peaking and will eventually slow but who knows we shall see.

When many things are equal you need to have a stand out
like a history of Frye's development... a history of putting top OL into the NFL
else a home for Mom/Dad wins and stays close to home

Which we have and Tennessee doesn’t.

Yet here we are.

There was no reason for UT here
Friend, you need to stop thinking about things with Ohio State glasses on. To say something as absurd as "there was no reason for UT here" is as ridiculous as saying nobody should have ever chosen us over Bama. These aren't robots, they're people who are allowed to make decisions that don't have Ohio State's best interests in mind.
