Next year when 90% of the current NBA players have been out of work for over a year I bet they'll be happy to take what the owners are willing to give them. Hell I bet more than 25% would cross the line day 1 just so they can start getting paid again. I bet there are easily 400 D-leaguers or recent grads that would love to play for the minimum this season.
On the bright side today's decision by the players means there will be at least one more year Lebron won't win a title.
So many borderline-racist jokes to be made...buxfan4life;2036228; said:So, does this mean the players can't feed their kids this season?
tsteele316;2036226; said:seriously. most people hate what the nba was becoming with the glorified AAU teams like the south beach butt buddies. they hated guys like deron williams and carmello strong arming themselves to different markets.
what's absolutely hilarious is that the owners' offer, which wasn't provided to the players by the union, contained 5 of the 6 recommendations made by the federal mediator.
good luck trying to argue in court that the owners weren't negotiating in good faith assclowns.

Wrong. What both sides have yet to figure out is that the fans hold all the cards.buckeyesin07;2036212; said:Good call--they just did so. Evidently, neither they nor Hunter have yet figured out that the owners hold all the cards here. I love watching this.
Yes, but few of those people were going to watch the NBA anyway. The NBA is the major sports league about which more people say, "Who cares?" than any other -- yet there are many avid fans.Bucklion;2036223; said:PERFECT! A lot of midwesterners do not get the NBA. Not sure I do, on balance. But it remains a hugely popular sport, especially on the east coast. With all due respect, I don't think many of us here really understand the total dynamic of this thing.
