Mozilla problems?

Mozilla will not open at all for me today. I uninstalled and reinstalled but still no luck. I've searched for spyware and trojans with AdAware, Spybot, and Trojan Hunter....

IE works fine.

Any ideas?

Occasionally it won't open for me. I usually find that the process is still running (as in... it just didn't shut off all the way when I last closed it.) Usually Ctrl+Alt+Del, and end the process firefox.exe.

I'm guessing this isn't your problem, though, as I'd figger reinstalling would certainly have taken care of this oopsie.

ok the really obvious thing is did you reboot?

second, try to open the exe file from the directory where it installs instead of a shortcut. (c:\program files\?) i'm guessing because i dont run mozilla. if that doesn't work, switch to Slimbrowser!

Same thing happened to me a while back. Opening in safe mode worked, though somehow I ended up creating a new profile and had to do a little work to get my settings back.

Restart the browser in Safe Mode. On Windows, start using the "Safe Mode" shortcut created in your Start menu or by running <CODE>firefox.exe -safe-mode</CODE>.

Update your extensions once you get the browser working... and if you've added one recently, might want to uninstall it.

I can't open Mozilla right now either, but that's only because my 'puter is in Timbuktu. :(
