I had this happen to me at the office, only it was the other way around, I had to start using FF instead of IE because none of those things were working. Still don't, I had even tried upgrading at the time to IE7, nothing. So I use FF at the office for BP and I use an IE variant (SlimBrowser) for all my other web browsing, although I admit I am really starting to like FF's features and add-ons. I would recommend trying what exhawg said though and uninstall and reinstall.

21, Did you happen to install that "zero day" fixamcalit? That would be disabling scripting which would pretty much do what you described.
