Mid-Majors and Their Crazy Antics

The ironic part is that I, and most OSU fans I know, would root for Ohio based MAC schools just from a state pride point of view..........................if they weren't such complete fucktwits with their venom toward OSU.

They are what they are, and I think the real venom primarily centers around their sports boards. One of the most satisfying things about the whole dynamic is how they are driven absolutely apoplectic over how many of their students choose to root for Ohio State and watch Ohio State games at a bar rather than attend their own sporting events.

Most people who went to these schools, I've found to be perfectly fine while the message board warriors are a sense of never ending amusement. My real disgust and hatred is for the administrations of these schools, for what they did to Ohio State and for what many of them would do to Ohio State (see: Proenza at Akron, McDowell at OU and the new Chief Juggalo) in a heartbeat if that political window ever opened again (ironically, given their history, the current head of Fredo seems to keep his mouth shut and just focus on running Fredo). That's where my disdain lies, not with the everyday student or alumnus of those schools.

While the B1G programs have decided they can't play night games in November the MAC schools are playing multiple night games a week in November.

They have a better chance of getting people like me watch their games if they're on during weeknights than they do on Saturday. I had the Ohio vs. Kent State game on for a while last night. Had it gone up against Ohio State vs. Indiana or Oklahoma State vs. Baylor or any other BCS conference game, I wouldn't have watched that much.

The November night game ban is one of the stupidest ideas Delany ever implemented. SEC teams are playing scrubs in primetime blowouts while B1G conference games are being played in half empty stadiums. The SEC is vastly overrated as the best conference imo, but they're light years ahead of the B1G when it comes to scheduling.
Plus having games during the week allows recruits to watch them because on weekends quite a few recruits are busy with playoff games during the month of November.

I just want to place on record that I watched the Ohio game last night. I think that Hoke is right about them.
it is time for Frankie to leave OU. He is getting too old in the teeth and his coaching skills are going downhill rapidly. He graduated from high school about the same time that I did so trust me he is old in the teeth:lol: He was a good single wing tailback in high school but his team was not very good. Anyhow, it is time for a change.
