Six pages of smug rationalizations, angst and tortured justifications from Butthead Fredo. The ones that amuse me the most are those imbeciles--so desperate to pull their football program out of the toilet--that rationalize hiring JT as, "he is a good and righteous man who was corrupted by Ohio State!" Come win football games for us, and he'll be some golden beacon of light and academic integrity who was just led astray by the evil football factory.

I think you are a bit hard on the Redski....I mean Redhawk posters over there. While they do have the haters and the holier than thou crowd, there are also many like this:

If Tressel was interested and we passed because he let some players trade autographs for tatoos, then Miami Football deserves to continue to lose and everybody here should never complain again when we continue to be a horrible, embrassing program.

I say we hire the entirety of Tressel, Gary Barnett, the dude from Auburn who paid Cam Newton $140K, Pete Rose, Barry Bonds, Jimmy Swagert, Barry Switzer, and Lance Armstrong as our staff.
Im also positive there are no hypocrits on this board and nobody here has ever fibbed, had a fake ID, sinned, or shaved a stroke off your golf score. No way.
The only difference between Jim Tressel and most of the people criticizing him on this board is that JT was living in a fish-bowl in the national spotlight and nobody cares that Joe Blow on this board took his second mulligan and lied about scoring a 99 on the golf course when really he shot a 100.

They don't really think that it matters, do they? Like, if tOSU doesn't use Ohio, they'll sell more t-shirts? What the fuck do they hope to accomplish? It's childish. They really need to just roll over and expose their throats. It's less painful that way.

Interesting bit of history, Ohio State never wanted its branch campuses and for decades afterwards lobbied to have all the public universities fold their branch campuses into the community college system. None of them would agree to the proposal though. Ohio State built theirs only in response to what the Fredos and John Millett were doing.

The branch campuses were part of the 1960s rebellion. The Fredos and John Millett thought they could choke off Ohio State if they built branch campuses in every county of the state. Beavis Fredo was the most active in this regards. Beavis Fredo actually had one planned and on the drawing board to open within the Columbus city limits until Ohio State absolutely went to the mattresses with the legislature to get it stopped. Talk about a complete waste of taxpayer dollars and higher education resources by these clowns. At the very time that the state is building a statewide community college system, these idiots get into an arms race of building their own in-house two year branch campus system merely because they thought it would further damage Ohio State.

The great irony is that what they thought was part of their plan to damage Ohio State actually came in very politically handy for Ohio State to rise back up and smite down these fucktards. The branch campuses were a key aspect in gaining a lot of legislative support for letting Ohio State get as selective as it could at the main campus. Stupid Fredo. Even when they thought they were winning, they were really just sowing the seeds of their eventual destruction.

Fuck Fredo! Then, now and forever.
