I don't know where you learned your English, but his comments were classic answer-avoidance. He said everything but "I'm not going to Michigan".

Did anyone else think they were listening to Bo Schembechler speaking when Miles gave that presser? His pauses, his inflection, everything...

yeah, except Miles, maybe because of his "angst", doesn't exude that aura of [may the lightening strike spare me] classy and mature intensity that were hallmarks of Bo's persona.

Thats the press conference.
He just had another interview, and said he was going to be the head coach next year. Unless he is pulling a Sabin, UM won't get him.

BTW, in a separate interview clip Les Miles was interviewed just prior to the SEC Championship game - hallway of the Georgia Dome.

Now more definitive "I will be the LSU coach next year"

Guys, don't count Herbie out yet.
  • Miles did not say anything about not going to TSUN. Perhaps he has not signed a contract yet, but that does not mean that he has not reached agreement with TSUN.
  • The LSU administrators present also said nothing at all that would be in conflict with him leaving/
Perhaps Miles will stay at LSU but that is clearly a deal not yet done either. The presser was smoke and mirrors to try to get a team ready and earn some possible BCS bucks.

Now, won't this all be interesting if Phat Phil hands him his ass this evening?:wink2:
