nm here is what was said per mgoblog
Miles: "There was misinformation on ESPN and I think it's imperative that I straighten it out. I'm the head coach at LSU, I will be the head coach at LSU, I have no interest in talking to anyone else. I have a championship game to play and I'm excited about the opportunity of my damn strong football team to play in it. And that's really all I'd like to say. It's unfortunate I had to address my team with this information this morning. With that being done, I think we'll be ready to play. There will be no questions for me; I represent me in this issue, please ask me after. I'm busy. Thank you very much, and have a great day."

Guy to LSU Chancellor: "Are you going to stay and answer questions?"

LSU Chancellor: "What he said."

You know as if I wasn't sure about this enough this whole fiasco this morning with ESPN trying the break the Les Miles story has really driven home the fact that none of them idiots at ESPN should be trying to pass themselves off as journalists. It is so irresponsible of them to screw with peoples lives like this.

I love how they put "Sources" prior to the information on the link to make you think they have some inside source giving them information. This kind of crap just brings back the whole clarrett / OSU smear campaign in living color and makes my blood boil.

You noticed that too, huh? All he said was "I'm the coach, I will be the coach, and I haven't talked to anyone."

Or, for the cynics....

"I'm the coach (right now), I will be the coach (for another couple hours) and I haven't talked to anyone (yet.)"

Never said that he's agreed to an extension or anything.

I say screw it and screw the drama. Hire Tenuta.

All Miles had to do was say, "I will not be accepting the head coaching job at Michigan." Or, more consisely, "I will be the head coach at LSU next season." He did neither. He has not yet signed the "agreement" with LSU. This is far from over...
