Shit.
Looks like I'm gonna be apologizing for yet ANOTHER ass hat in about, oh, 11 minutes.
Before I watch, wtF could a "Canes fan" POSSIBLY have to say for ten MINUTES and 32 seconds after yesterday????
Nah, really not worth your 10 minutes, I wasted mine for both of us. He doesn't say anything major outside of his intro. He had a follow up after the game that said we were the better team.

Save your time.

Jwins,

You've had some incredible shots in the past, but my god, those ones are friggin amazing. Well done! The first one is hilarious, but that second one...simply magnificent.
I'm not sure I'll ever shoot in as much rain as that again. I was sitting on my little chair with a steady spout of rain running down my back and pouring out of both legs of the shorts like a fountain  I don't bother with ponchos unless it is November.

That was a lot of fun. Crazy rain, great crowd, dominating performance. I must have missed about 50-75% of the shots I tried to take in the brunt of that rainstorm, but it really paid off.

PM me if you're interested in trying medium format film + scan.
I can pass along what I'VE learned so far, and I think I have a 120 film folder you can borrow for a couple months, if'n ya promise to take care of it.

1950's Balda Baldix with f2.9/75mm lens in Prontor S shutter similar to this:

Excellent shape, shutter goes up to 1/250 (1950's, remember?) shoots 12 6cm x 6cm shots on a roll of 120 film.
Thanks for the offer, that's very generous. For now I'm staying busy with a lot of fall action, candids and some school work, but if I ever get the itch, I'll drop you a line.

The rain shot was unaltered other than slight sharpening and shifting the color tones a little. The rest is just a brief monsoon in all of its glory.

That's one fear I NEVER have with my K20D: weather. It's 100% weather-sealed with the proper lenses, and when others run for cover, I keep shooting away.
Those rain shots are awesome - the stop-action on the raindrops brings a dramatic, almost surreal feeling. Draws you into the photo, which is the whole point :)
There is a reason the phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words" was coined...

Keep up the EXCELLENT work!

Most of this old stuff doesn't have the kind of speeds you'd need for the action stuff, except maybe the 1960's-70's Graflex Super Speed Graphic (1/1000, but no Focal Plane Shutter) shooting 4x5 film, or 120 with a roll holder. These are expensive, though. $500-1000 for a 30-40-year old camera!

But i noticed one shot of yours was 1/1250, the other 1/1600, so I dunno.

For portrait-style and candids/street-shooting, the small folders are REALLY NICE. I have 6x6cm, 6x7cm, and 6x9cm folders, and then the 6x7cm Graflex Century Graphic, my absolute favorite:

Lemme know if you need anything, and keep up the good work - very impressive.

OSU was clearly the better overall team. Miami did some very good things and they have very good talent.

But, Ohio States special teams? Wow, two TD's on kick returns.

Back to work. Two scrimmage games left and then the league. Go Bucks.:osu:

TP performed well for most of the game. He threw some bad passes, and got lucky on a couple INTs. You never know how that could have affected the momentum.

Plus, he runs with the physicality of Chris Leak.* That said, he is deceptively fast and hard to bring down. I wish he would not try to block his inner Fran Tarkington and run more...it's not like he has happy feet. I respect his respecting going through his progressions, but the goal is to move the chains and score, not improve his QB rating numbers.

* This is not a compliment

Eh, if you're looking hard enough for things to nit-pick, I guess you may be able to grasp at straws for a few things. Not all of us can have two carries for two yards in a loss, I guess. Me, I'll take the OSU QB running for over 100 yards, passing for over 230 yards, scoring two TDs, committing zero turnovers and leading the team to a win over a top 15 team. Question: did Chris Leak EVER have that kind of day at UF?

Again, it was a nice win. The comment I shared was agreed with by at least one poster, and there was no attempt at dissing his performance. Chill.

I think I remember him having an OK day once.

Not responsive. We're talking about TP's performance, no?

No attempt at dissing his performance? Really? Or is it that you now realize it's a bit hard "dis[] his performance," once you actually take a look at his stats?

Nice way to end your post.
