Dude's got skills - ya'll got a good one snappin'...

Take them two above shots, for example.
Good stop-action, lens is wide-open, but still got some good background.

Most amateurs would instinctively center the two players, but he has them offset down a little bit, kinda' like the "rule of thirds," so he was able to capture the 2 players, bench, and fans in the stands...

Keeping in minds it's moving action, and guessing @ 300mm he was at least 50-80 yards away, it's not very easy to get shots like that.

As a fellow shutterbug (not pro, though) I can appreciate what goes into getting a shot like that... exposure is excellent, white balance, colors are great, framing is excellent...

oh geez....you and j wins need to get a room already.

Thanks to all the former Canes, like Edge, Portis, and The Rock, for helping to inspire the Buckeyes before big games. In '03 it was the Back2Back flyers, this year it appears to have been The Rock's YouTube video.

OSU-Miami: The Rock Becomes a Pebble

...

As for the Rock's video, well, it ended up inspiring the Buckeyes.

"Coach showed it to the team," OSU linebacker Brian Rolle said with a grin afterward. "I know the Rock played there, but those type people are has-beens. Those guys couldn't do it or didn't do it, but they still have a say so.

There has been discussion about the officiating but one non-call in particular leaves me shaking my head, literally. I still don't see how an entire officiating crew can miss a block in the back happen directly in front of the returner...I guess not one of them saw this block take out two players right in front of the play!

I am the first to admit the ST needs work but the implication of non-calls like this and non-calls for horse collar tackling can get players injured which just makes me think these officials in saturdays game had no regard whatsoever for player safety. Is there an officiating review done of CFB games like the NFL?

ACC refs = FAIL.

Not responsive. We're talking about TP's performance, no?

No attempt at dissing his performance? Really? Or is it that you now realize it's a bit hard "dis[] his performance," once you actually take a look at his stats?

Nice way to end your post.
Gator's right, you do need to chill. TP's performance could improve substantially. But as he said, it was still a nice win..and even better considering that TP didn't have a particularly strong day throwing.

I noticed this while rewatching the game as well. The officiating was perhaps some of the worst I've ever seen. Clearly some home cooking by the ACC crew.

Yet, what's worth noting, is that we didn't allow the refs poor calls to cost us the game. That's what good teams do. They beat the other team soundly enough that these calls don't decide the outcome.

Nice win for the Buckeyes. Scary for opponents that we weren't exactly as sharp as we could have been and still DOMINATED a quality team.

From Feldman:

Upon arriving at the Horseshoe Saturday, I was speaking to an Ohio State security guy who was talking about the possibility of Buckeye fan LeBron James coming to the game. The guy said the Miami Heat star wanted a full police escort. "He'll probably get one guy ... He made his decision."

LeBron never showed for the game.

I saw it immediately from 14c and was screaming for the flag during the entire return and commercial break.

Let's see...

TP running for over 100 yards (especially on a day when the RBs struggled a bit)? Check.

TP throwing for over 230 yards? Check.

TP throwing for a TD? Check.

TP running for a TD? Check.

TP committing zero turnovers? Check.

TP leading us to a win over a top 15 team? Check.

You saying that his "performance could improve substantially?" FAIL.

Chill.

I didn't see that at the game but it was the first thing i noticed when i watched the replay.

Miami will have 2+ TD returns a game if they are allowed to block like that...

I did watch the punt TD return and it was just a good job of the returner catching the ball while running forward leaving the defenders just standing around.
