Game Thread Marshall vs tOSU, Thursday Sep 2, 7:30 pm ET, BTN

Tnoight was a rough night for awhile. The alumni band kept me from getting into position for the kickoff fumble, a few of the TDs were at the wrong angle, etc.

But this one is an all-time favorite:

It might end up being my favorite shot of the year, right up there with these three:

One down...twelve to go...

This one went even better than I expected. I think this team can be so diverse, on both sides of the ball, that will confuse and keep other teams off balance. They were solid...polished. They were in mid-season form. When is the last time we have had zero turnovers and this few of penalties in an opener???

Just watched the Rolle pick 6. We have a ton of athletes on this squad.

Watch Simon's burst at the end of the return. He doesn't really block anyone, but he just changes speeds to get involved. You don't see many d-linemen pick up speed like that. I continue to be amazed at the athleticism of Rolle and Homan when they touch the ball.

how far away were you? and how much did you have to crop out?
compared to the other shots, this looks pretty noisy. or did you take out the noise in post on the others?
it's a great shot, regardless...

the thing I liked most about this game is that they got the lead and stuck with it, no foot off the gas

it was a far cry from the Navy opener last season, where they led 20-7 at the half and 29-14 in the 4th quarter and allowed Navy keep climb back into it to the point where they were attempting a 2 point conversion to tie the game.

the blocked FG for a TD could have been a momentum changer and allowed Marshall to stick around, but the team stayed with it and ANSWERED right back with a beautiful TD pass from Pryor to Posey.

To be fair, all first week teams are not created equal. I somehow don't see this Marshall team winning 10 games this year.
