Game Thread Marshall vs tOSU, Thursday Sep 2, 7:30 pm ET, BTN

Secondary definitely worries the most. I think Jermale can be the leader though. He had a huge hit last night that sent chills up my spine. He's going to be a stud. I was also impressed with the offensive line. Looked a lot more better than last year. We'll get a better idea next week against Miami. :oh:

I was impressed with the team last night. The offense and defense looked great...special teams need a little work but I have no doubt JT will have them ready to go against da U. I was very impressed by Tyler Moeller and look forward to watching him this year. Great win Buckeyes!!!

A couple of things as I'm rewatching the game. First, Tyler Moeller is going to have an incredible year. Unlike Chekwa and the rest of the secondary, he doesn't wait for the offensive player to come to him, he's running you over and good luck getting out of the way fast enough to avoid it.

As I just mentioned, didn't like the way the secondary played. Coverage issues aside, they didn't seem aggressive in run support (other than Hines). Rather than throwing off the WR, they seemed to be dancing with them waiting for the ball carrier to come to them. This could be a problem next week. Hopefully will be corrected.

Larrimore also had a helluva game, and as someone here mentioned, he doesn't get nearly enough love, so here's some. Kid is a black hole at DT and just eats up everything that comes near him.

Some nitpicking I know. Overall, thought we played really well. In particular, liked Tressel's attitude. Especially in the post game when he referenced the last drive the 1st team had, up 42-7 and said that he wished we would've taken it down and scored. I get the coach speak, but it reveals a more aggressive attitude to putting away a team that I don't know we've always had under Tress. This helps to develop the ability to finish teams, which WILL come in handy often this year.

Can't wait to see this team take the field against Da U. I don't know what to think of them, since they played an FCS team and a mediocre one at that. I can't help but think of their bowl game and how Wisky manhandled them. I gotta believe we'll be able to do the same. I also have to believe that the players don't believe that.

GO BUCKS!!!!!

Moeller had a huge game, but he might want to hide behind Big Hank in the film room when they show the Rolle pick 6. Had a pretty obvious and unneeded clip behind the play.

It was just one of the many calls and spots that I thought were missed last night. For a change, it seemed like more of them went in our favor though.

For Miami:

"Hide your kids, hide your wife... and hide your husbands, 'cause they're rapin' everybody out here. You don't have to come and confess, we're looking for you! We gon' find you, we gon' find you. So you can run and tell that, homeboy... home-home-homeboy!" -Antoine Dodson

Great Game! Its nice to see some offensive explosion. I knew TP could pull out a big play at any time but it was great to see Saine pop off that big TD run! Berry will be exciting to watch he's small and has the speed burst to blow right by guys.

After the game hearing tressel answer questions i get the feeling that he has a bit more of an agressive attitude for the offense than we've seen in years past. Also it looked evident in the play calling. It seems like he's more willing to get that first team offense ready for the big time games. I hope he continues to do that throughout the year.
