My Take;
What a great day thursday was. All day long I was filled with anticipation of going to the 'shoe and watching my beloved Buckeyes play.
The wife never moved fast enough to suit me and the closer it got the worse I got.
After finally getting started about 1 1/2 hours later than I wanted to we finally hit C'bus about 4:30 and drove over to the west side and Ackerman road. The traffic was very thin there so we moved smoothly.
Driving down 315 I saw the first of the airplane towed banners and the hair on the back of my head started to curl. Next came the top of the towers and a sensation went up my spine.
I was about to see the greatest stadium in the world for the first time this year and I was very ready indeed for what this day had to offer.
Turning onto Ackerman we were met with gameday traffic and even that provided me with a thrill! I was among Buckeye fans, thousands of them in scarlet, grey, white, and black or any combination.
As we alighted from our car I couldn't help but notice the packed throngs of tailgaters winding up to the game.
How do you really explain what you feel when you are getting ready to sit in the stadium and watch the buckeyes?
Anyway as we walked to the "shoe across lane ave the crowds got bigger and bigger and you could feel the excitement is as thick as soup in the crowds.
I was just geting wound up more and more as we got closer. The Buckeye necklace vendors, the various other hawkers all are a part of gameday to me.
After we stopped in the Hiney gate for an exhorbantly overpriced yet very small sausage sandwich we walked with the crowds over past St. Johns and learned we were too late to get into the skull session ARGGGGGGGGGGGG! then passed the radio stations and there we could see the "shoe and the Rotunda.
Now comes a big decision, do we stay outside and watch the band come over or go just inside to watch them in the tunnel, or find our seats which were just on top of the tunnel? Opting for the latter since I wanted to watch the pre games and soon enough the announcer introduced the "Pride of the Buckeyes"
Lordamighty, I tell you the goosebumps came hard and heavy as TBDBITL took the field followed by the alumni. You haven't lived until you have watched 500 or so band members playing "across the field" and 105,000 crazed fans singing right with them.
I was one happy camper right about then.
All of a sudden it was game time but I'll have to come back for that.

Jwinslow, are you a professional sports photographer? If so you have an awesome job! Those pics are fantastic. Recently i've gotten into photography and sports is something ive been into forever. I'm thinking of going back to school and getting my bachelors in photography. Did you take photography courses in college?

Researching the Magic!
Watching some of those hits by our D was absolutely entertaining, as well as some of those TP throws. If we can clean up our secondary play as well as work on some special teams issues, this is definitely a solid team ready to take it all the way to Glendale.
