Next thing you know we wont be playing scUM on the 3rd Saturday of November....oh wait.

I [censored]ing hate this [censored].

As I have posted many times; that never really was a tradition. We have played TSUN on the 4th Saturday of November on many occasions.

I make no secret that I am a traditionalist. No reason to be filling our landfills with perfectly good VCRs (if there ever was such a thing)>

To be honest though, traditionalist that I am, I have no problem with this scheduling - provided it is the first game of the season. Kind of excited about it really.

What the heck is not to like...we're starting the football season even earlier. This is a gift from heaven...earlier Buckeye football. The only thing that could be better is if we just started ball in the spring and carried it through.

I think this sucks.

I get one saturday a month off of work, and this game was my saturday.

This is OHIO STATE football, for God's sake. WE play on saturday!

Lat the wannabe's like the ACC, Big east, and WAC play on thursday, NOT TOSU!

Big-Time Big Ten football is what it is, and this arrangement to me, is an absolute joke.

Peace.:oh:

This is great!! Don't have to wait as long for football, and the WHOLE country get's to watch. I can get hammered on a Thursday and have an excuse to call in the next day.

As far as the Bucks, immediately after the game they will be able to prepare longer for a HUGE game (which I will be at, anyone wanna get hammered with me?) at the 'Shoe. Let's do it!!!

Oh, I have a feeling that most students won't be going home for Thanksgiving anymore until we put another bye in the schedule and push the scUM game into Dec. And if it costs the university more $$ to keep everything open that bye week will come faster. But with the climate change I don't think it makes a difference. When was the last time we had several inches of snow on meatchicken weekend?

I'm fine with this. I get to see my Buckeyes sooner, I like night games at the Shoe, I'm not the world's biggest traditionalist, and it gives us more time to prep for Miami.

But to hell with this "exposure" business. Louisiana Tech needs exposure. DePaul needs exposure. Loyola (not sure if they have a football team) needs exposure. The Ohio State University doesn't need exposure. There aren't fully-functional college football fans turning on ESPN2 and being surprised to find out that The Ohio State University is giving football a shot. What a crock.

And Friday is not going to be a good day. I guess it'll just have to be a sick day!

It's tradition now - South Carolina opens the season on national TV on a weeknight and looks like ass.
But there coach is Steve Spurrier that's a bigtime matchup!!!!!

The exposure issue to me is a double edged sword. Either TP throws for 200 runs for 100 and the buckeyes win big as they should or it's a tight game and it creates media doubters. This was a bowl winner but either we win big or the doubters come out of the woodwork

I guess he'll just have to wait a whole nine days to redeem himself against Miami on national tv then. If TP plays bad people will know regardless of when we play.
