Mark May (Blew 5 guys at Pitt)

Heard him at halftime of the WV Marshall game. He left himself an out by saying that if the officials from 2002 NC game are there, the Bucks can win. It would be tough to script a man that's more of an idiot.
I'd say they script him just fine...

How are ratings?
Well, among people who agree with May, we're only at a 3% share..
Yeah? And the people who disagree?
We're pulling them in at about 87%

So, I get home from a long day only to turn on ESPN for the game and get to catch a bit of the halftime show. After BJ did his ZOMGZ!!! 8 SACKS VS FAMU!!!!!!1!!!! YAY!!!!!! routine, I threw the remote to my son and told him to "change it to anything but this." His actions really made me not want to watch football tonight. That is some true asshattery right there. No wonder I don't watch that channel unless a game is on.

I don't think I ever hated Trev as much as I hate BJ.

I still believe Trev walked out because he got tired of selling out his reputation just to be a schmuck on ESPN. Not that he was ever particularly good at his next gig.... but, I don't recall him being anything more than an Iowa homer after his stint at ESPN.

Yea, it's too easy. Spew some anti-Buckeye crap out of your mouth and do it with an extra smug look and you're set. Buckeye fans may want to slap the lips off of your face but your job isn't going anywhere.

I think this thread should be retitled "Mark May and the stupid people that watch him."

Its not his fault for saying idiotic things. That's his schtick. People have to learn to change the channel or not watch at all. Its really simple.

I canceled cable just before football season b/c my wife wanted to save the money. It was either the internet or cable. I chose to keep the internet b/c I can watch all games on my computer. Any I can't see, I just go to my dads.

To get to my point. I don't really miss any of the talking heads. I can watch the games and form my own opinions. These clowns, including Herbie, are idiots. Any one could do there job. The only reason they get these jobs is because they played college ball at one time. That's it. My 13 year old daughter could spout off what they say.

They are not professionals. Just b/c you played football doesn't mean you understand it. These idiots were probably the dumb ones on the team that had to be reminded their assignment on each play. They just talk out their a$$.

I guess that I'm a little jealous of them. I wish I could have a job that I wasn't required to know jack chit and could rake in the $$$$$!

I'm going to interrupt the Mark May bashing to give props to May for the last segment during halftime of the Houston/UTEP game, since he finally said something both funny and true (and acknowledged that he's just being a character on a TV show).

During the segment 'Which game would you pay to see?' Marks declares OSU/Miami. Rece asks how much Mark would pay? Mark says, "$20." Rece mentions he might need to pay a little more than that, like $50 or $100 to get into OSU/Miami, to which Mark says, "I couldn't afford that because I'd need $1,000 worth of security if I went to the Horseshoe."
