Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

Prime told the entire Colorado team to hit the portal. Also declared his son as the starting qb. Going to be an interesting ride.

This seems like a strategy that may work short term but IDK how Deion does long term at Colorado. Once the shine wears off. Could turn into a mess a few years down the road, not that Colorado isn't already a mess though.

Yep. It's like owners of pro sports teams not wanting to pay players.

These universities, the NCAA and Bowls got fat by keeping all the money for themselves for decades. Most of the angst I see today is trying to look at the new reality where labor isn't free anymore through the lens of the old, bullshit, framework (read student athlete myth). Like most things, it's a fantasy made up by marketers and real humans pay the price by trying to live out the bullshit role.

Yup, CFB has run a masterful propaganda campaign for generations, and its brainwashed its fans into turning on the employees in favor of the front office, similar to how it is in the pros. Fans have no problem complaining about a player holding out, and or complaining about his contract. But yet the same fan has no problem with owners making billions and forcing players to take less money if they under perform their contracts(but yet not paying more if they out perform that contract). I've had this discussion with so many "old school" fans, and my main point is when I'm told the players are receiving free room and board and doesn't deserve a salary, is: then I take it you should only take benefits at your job and not earn a paycheck. That's the equivalent. And also, why is it wrong that athletes can now earn an income from their likeness and performance, but yet there's no problem with a Spanish major tutoring for money, or if a Modern Dance major teaches dance to youth. Fans will cheer on their favorite team and wear jerseys, but get mad that the player they root for is making money. The outrage makes no sense to me. Especially when no one can name an IT major, or Communications major, but they know the backup Center or a true frosh WR.

Yup, and he's brining Travis Hunter with him too. And kids are actually reaching out to him for offers!

Guy was terribly mediocre at WVU this year.

His best option would be going to some G5 that likes to throw, put up a maybe good performance there and dupe some NFL team into drafting him in like the 4th/5th that way. Doubt many in the P5 ranks are gonna come calling, unless its like a Cal or Rutgers type school.
Or he could just admit his true calling: the cable guy in 70s pornos.

Tony Grimes, former 5* CB from UNC, has entered transfer portal as well.
He was being talked about a bunch yesterday. He played pretty average for a bad defense. Much rather get the CB from UVA

Highly rated tranny LT from ASU just announced he is going to Michigan.

We need to get our shit together post haste.

Feels like we are falling behind. We need OL bad.
It's only been 1 day. And scUM only got one player. Relax

It would be easier for me to relax If I had a feeling for our process as it relates to the portal.

Did we contact this kid, evaluate him, do we have a plan for our lack of viable tackles on the roster.
I don't think any program and its fanbase has any feeling for their process. Its all so new. I wouldn't be surprised if scUM fans had no clue who he even was.
OSU is most likely going to end up with some kids we've hardly ever even heard of, from schools who go to 3rd tier bowl games at best. Info will be flying fast, and the worst strategy will be fans wanting certain players based off of their HS rankings(i.e. Cypress vs Grimes at CB)
