I honestly don't see the point of this competition though - it's basically a race to the first turn. Provided there are no crashes, the rest of the course appears to be a formality since nobody gets overtaken.

That wreck was crazy. :lol:

Had no idea BMX was an Olympic sport. Was surprised to see how many countries were represented.

But it makes me wonder why golf isn't an Olympic sport. Most of the world plays golf...

It was added to the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro for the first time since 1904.
