Not that I know of. He was at Grand Valley forever until he went to CMU and then Cincy. He is from the east coast, but almost all of his professional coaching career has been in michigan.

Lloyd Carr runs a clean program, his players love him and he's done well with his record. That being said, if he hadn't had cooper for the first 6 years of his career how long would he have lasted?
