Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

I only see one more great player on Miami......Bosh hasn't showed me much more than being the best player on a crappy Toronto team.

Bron going to Miami is no different than Kobe throwing playoff games and pouting and trying to force himself out of LA unless they brought in someone else. Ergo, Pau = 2 more rings for kobe.

it's pretty amazing how quick people forget the kobe drama when they kept getting bounced out of the playoffs after shaq left. anyone remember hearing about kobe to the bulls during the offseason? in comes gasol a top 5 player at his position and the chatter died down.

i wish the cavs would have done the same thing by pulling the trigger on amare.

Yeah, that comparison makes sense entirely...provided that you totally ignore the fact that LBJ left Cleveland and Kobe stayed in LA. :roll2:

I'd just like to point out that during "The Decision" (July 7th) LeBron stated he had made his choice that morning and it was extremely difficult to choose.

In D-Wade's interview during the finals, he said he found out on July 1st. He was till on pins and needles until he actually heard the announcement though. During their introduction in Miami, Bosh said they had been talking about it for months.

I only bring this up b/c LeBron is full of it 99% of the time. Pure drama all the time...

Cleveland certainly appreciated his Larry King interviews saying the Cavs had the advantage.

From Shaq just a few days ago:

"If he had been straight up with the guy [Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert], like, 'I'm not coming back,' and let the guy make moves and try to build his team, everything would've been all right," O'Neal said. "But you can't keep messing around -- 'I don't know, I don't know, I don't know.' And then, 'All right, Mike [Brown], you're gone. All right, you're gone, you're gone.' The guy was trying to make it better for LeBron, but LeBron and his group of guys didn't tell him what was going on. And then at the last minute, it was too late. The guy couldn't go out and get any free agents. I just think if LeBron had just done it better business-tactically, things would've been all right."

as in he knew he needed at least one more player that was worth a [Mark May] and after 7 years in Cleveland he knew he was never going to get one.

Ok. This bullshit has to stop. There's no way in hell Cleveland was going to be able to team Lebron up with someone as good as Dwyane fucking Wade or even close to being in the same vicinity as Dwyane fucking Wade. In fact, last I checked there is only one Dwyane fucking Wade.

So just stop that bullshit right here, right now. Its not Cleveland's fault. It never was. Lebron simply didn't want to fight for a title; didn't want to help build a team to win a title; had no interest in being a leader for a team to win a title. He just wants titles. He's the most talented player in the game and has been for years. But he's a gutless coward and that's all there is to it.

Bibby has upped his game in the Finals. He was nonexistent vs Chicago. I'm happy for him as a Kings fan from the Webber era.

Jesus christ, you're a fucking front runner aren't you? Well, except for the whole Michigan thing. Though, you posting here could mean you're a closet Buckeye fan.

Just let us crucify everything LeBrons bitchmade ass makes would ya? I don't care how good he is at the game of basketball. He could average 30/10/10 for the rest of his career and i'd still look down on him because I am a better person than he will ever be.

if you've followed ANYTHING i've said in regards to professional basketball, you would have read me saying over and over that I only follow players in the NBA because of free agency ruining the game for me. After Atlanta sent Dominique packing back in the day, the NBA as a whole lost me except for following certain players.

I followed Webber throughout his career and cheered for the teams he's played on.

I followed Lebron throughout his career and cheered for the teams he's played on.

big effing deal.

But one thing you won't find in my closet is a bunch of NBA jerseys or t-shirts. I don't represent like some frontrunner. I just root for the guys I've followed throughout their careers and hope for them to do well.

I get just as much joy rooting against POS's like kobe as I do rooting for my favorite players.

I guess I need to repost this every 20 pages or so......

you can't tell me that in 7 years of free agency while he was there, there wasn't another quality player to put next to him other than Antawn Jamison and an over the hill Shaq. I find it very hard to believe.

I never said they had to bring in Wade, but someone who could actually create their own shot would have been a bonus.

am I taking crazy pills?

Yes.

Still haven't responded to my point about Wade. Yeah, Kobe stayed in LA because they brought it Pau. But you really are taking crazy pills if you think DWades just grow on fucking trees.

Honestly, as a fan of the NBA in general, I feel cheated. I have to watch the two best players in the game win title-after-title for the foreseeable future... when I'd much rather watch them play each other. Lebron is still a coward, will always be one - and that's not saying anything about his skill, because he's the most athletically gifted person I've ever been fortunate enough to watch on television. But he's just so utterly unlikeable that its a shame. A... damn... shame.

dirk is definitely a loyal guy. but since he has been in dallas he got to start out playing with nash. once, they lost him they traded for terry, then jkidd, and then butler. i am sure that helps. it's a well ran organization. dirk deserves the credit he gets and i believe he has been unfairly criticized up until this year's playoff. but they also did a great job surrounding him with some players.
