Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

Lebron is a great player and nice team player. However, this is Wade's team. Just get the ball to Wade and get out of the way.

I'm actually glad to see these guys ask "abnormal" questions. I get sick of some post game questions because they are so boring and easy to answer.

What was the key of the game? How did you win? What did you think of teammates? Same ole bs questions.

Lebron probably wasn't expecting that.

Lebron probably wasn't expecting that.

It's been absolutely frustrating to watch all year as LeBron gets lobbed easy questions...haven't heard any questions in regards to game 5 vs. Boston last year, any questions in regards to Boobie Gibson firing back after his "die down" comments....and I always wondered why a media member wouldn't be more aggressive with questions to get their own personal name out there....

And then I found out.

The NBA screens every question that will be asked and the reporter either gets green or red-lighted. Sounds like Doyel had a different question screened, and went with his own personal question once receiving the mic. It gives him great fodder for this story, but he'll likely be black-balled the rest of the series from asking questions which is ridiculous.

BTW, LeBron answered and handled the question pretty well, IMO. But he is getting lit up all over the place with this series. D-Wade is absolutely destroying LeBron's legacy right now. I was going to be so pissed if LeBron won a title in Miami, but in a weird way, watching D-Wade just carry Miami as LeBron does his best Shawn Marion impression is OK with me.

Not only is LeBron playing passive and deferring to Wade at every opportunity, he's also chucking bricks when he has to shoot int he fourth, field goal % way down, and to top it off, Wade is now publically in LeBron's grill on the court when he messes up...it's pretty enjoyable to watch even as the Heat win.

As OH10 said earlier, the dude isn't even playing at Pippen's level. For Pippen to say 'Bron might be better than Jordan, isn't even an insult to MJ at this point, Scottie is short-changing himself as best side-kick....

i really don't understand the criticism of lebron from yesterday's game. dwade was killing it. and lebron is essentially playing the point in the 4th quarter. that means his job is to go to the hot hand. the last two games it has been dwade.

i thought lebron played within the game yesterday and played well. being great is not just about putting up big numbers and showing up others. its also about understanding the flow of the game.

He was 6 of 14 for the game. He has scored a total of 9 points in the 4th quarter for the ENTIRE series. That's 3 ppg if we're counting. He's essentially reduced himself to Joel Anthony in clutch time.

D-Wade openly scolded him in the 4th quarter after LeBron passed on a driving lane to dish it to Mario Chalmers.

We aren't talking about taking what comes to him in the flow of the game. We're talking about the offensive end, LeBron playing more like Shawn Marion than a star.

And game 2 plays a huge role in the overall appearance of the series. That game was on LeBron for jacking up poor shots and going to LeIso in the 4th. Last night he played hot-potato with the ball and watched what a real superstar does in clutch moments in the NBA Finals.

your criticism doesn't address the fact that he is essentially playing point guard in the fourth quarter which requires you to play in the flow of the game, which includes the offensive end.

i believe that pass to mario resulted in a three.

and you are right game 2 lebron sucked down the stretched because he forced it and they went away from dwade. that is exactly what they didn't need to do - you go to the hot hand. he made the right decisions in game 3 and they won.

yes he has not put up the numbers so far in this series. but he played well yesterday. and in the last series against chicago he dominated the games with dwade having his moments. this series is the exact opposite with dwade dominating and lebron having his moments. i think it's a mistake just to focus on the stats and expect for him to just dominate in the fourth from a scoring stand point. that is not what makes this team tough to beat.

He did that in Cleveland for an extended amount of time while Mo Williams was out. Stop knob jobbing him, he's done it before en route to an NBA MVP. Get over it, he's great, we all know it. Still doesn't change the fact that true Cleveland fans STILL hate him.

He's playing well on defense, but I wouldn't consider 35% shooting, 6-14 yesterday, and a total of 9 points in the entire 4th quarter playing well.

The 4 turnovers yesterday weren't "playing well" either. He's certainly a guy you'd like to have on the court, but he is LeBron James. He has been reduced to Shawn Marion this series.

Yes Wade is playing lights out, but that's kind of the point. Wade has completely stolen the show, and LeBron is riding him to a ring in the finals. Fair or not, we remeber who shows up when the lights are the brightest. So far, LeBron hasn't.

again that doesn't address anything i said. your expectation is for him is to just go out and dominate the fourth quarter like he did against chicago right? so far this series he hasn't had to do that b/c wade has stepped up. the situation is different right now.

i don't want to sound like a lebron apologist, but the criticism of his game makes no sense.

His shooting % is awful for the series. What position he is playing from is irrelevant. His high turnover #'s, his shooting % in the fourth quarter, and the fact that Wade is barking at him to be more aggressive is relevant.

Through 3 games of the NBA Finals, he is playing more like Shawn Marion than Scottie Pippen, and certainly nothing like MJ. He's going to get his ring, but it will come with a price.
