Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

While I am certainly not pleased with the decision to leave, I can at least understand it. The one hour special (and some of the sound bites from it), keeping everyone on pins and needles since...well, the middle of the season, really, giving up the last few games of the Celtics series (don't try to tell me he was in the game mentally, the entire team chemistry was seriously compromised, and it was glaringly obvious). Those are what really have me pissed off.

I hope they really do replace that "Witness" board with a Browns player and graphic, as that would just be rich. Heck, throw Choo up there and at least we would have a popular athlete still hanging out up there.

Im not going to read through the past couple hours of comments, but what really gets me, is how much he thinks he did for Cleveland [And while I never blamed LeBron for wanting to get out of Cleveland, (I did)... its just the way he did it.]. Cleveland never had a super star as big as LBJ, so they weren't the center of the sports world, so maybe I'll give him that... but he did no more than Ricky Davis, Shawn Kemp, Terrelle Brandon, Andre Miller, Brad Daugherty, Larry Nance, Hot Rod Williams, Craig Ehlo and Mark Price did for the Cavs. Bring them a championship. What he did do was win 2 games more than a Mark Price led team (91-92) ever did for the Cavs.

So yes LeBron that 2 extra wins over 7 years is better than any Cleveland Caviler team ever. We have had many players come through the city, many who were on promising teams, many who were close... but all [since '64] have failed to deliver. So thanks for the excitement... but [censored] YOU for thinking you were that much different than any other player that has come and gone through Cleveland. At least Jim Thome and Omar Vizquel got us 2 outs away from a Championship.

BTW, Mark Price was, is, and forever will be the best Cavalier of all time.

Not a Cleveland fan so I can't relate but I'm not sure he deserves this much hate. It's not like he's going to a rival. Not like he disgraced the state. Just moving on. He made Cleveland matter for an entire 7 years. No one gave a shit about the Cavs before he got there. He gave Cavs fans something to cheer about and take pride in. You can't just throw that out the window.

from Cavs Owner Says LeBron James Quit in Playoffs - ABC News

Childish. Buncha amateurs running that circus.

lebron had the class to call the knicks 30 minutes in advance to tell them he didn't select new york, but couldn't extend any sort of courtesy to cleveland? fuck that. i know this will probably get deleted, but I hope his crack whore mom OD's in the middle of South Beach on some bad cuban blow she snorted out Chris Bosh's taint.

I feel like people who haven't been attached to the team for the last 7 years, and assume Cleveland is being harsh, probably don't have a full understanding of the situation.

I'm not trying to be a douche here, but if I were to say..."whose fault is it that Cleveland never surronded him with a good enough cast?"...the easy answer is Paxson/Ferry/Gilbert.

It was LeBron...he wants to play for a winner? Commit to playing for Cleveland years ago, and watch legit #2's flock to Cleveland.

The frustration comes from watching this team bend over backwards for LeBron to deliver what he wanted, and then watching him call an hour press-conference to deliver a Cleveland Steamer on the entire city.

Fuck him. If there's any justice, the Cavs will somehow make good on Gilbert's words. But we all know God hates Cleveland, so not likely.

Dan Gilbert is covering his own ass for letting the best NBA player (maybe of all time to) to leave his home state. If he would've actually surrounded him with a talent that was capable of taking over a game maybe he wouldn't have left! Jamario Moon, Hickson, Jamison, AV, Williams, West, Z, and a Washed up Shaq is the best you can surround him with? Give me a freaking break! Go get him a Garnette a couple years ago, go sign Boozer, go Sign ANYONE but these clowns.

What Miami did was Smart. Got Wade/Bosh to come on board knowing that was really going to weigh heavily on Lebron.

Why would Lebron want to come back to Cleveland?! You play with players who rely on you every night to play lights out and on top of that you have teams like Orland/Boston/and Miami (with atleast Bosh/Wade) who would still beat us had we kept Lebron. If you, Dan Gilbert, can't surround him with just one [censored]ing talented player then you deserve to lose the best NBA player. So go ahead Blame Lebron everyone! He could've taken the money and his home state but ultimately the only thing that mattered was his supporting cast. Also people say I don't like how he handled it... How else would it be any easier as a die hard Cleveland fan? either way people would still be cursing him and burning his jersey as we speak. The only thing that Cleveland fans would've accepted would've been if he stayed in our City to lead the way. Cleveland will be lucky to make the playoffs now.

By the way Miami will win it all this year in a [censored]ing landslide. Go [censored] yourself Gilbert.

All I can do is shake my head at this. BukIpower, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

For those of you saying we didn't surround him with talent, or TRY and surround him with talent...where the fuck have you been for the last 7 years? LeBron cried in the media for NOW NOW NOW and we consistently made deals that at the time were "NOW" type deals to upgrade our roster. Blame LeBron for choking when it counted and quitting, blame Jamison for forgetting how to make a free throw, blame Mike Brown for not learning a god damn thing in 5 years, but to say the ownership didn't try is outrageous. They tried bringing anyone and everyone to Cleveland to play with LeBron but it seems nobody wanted to come to Cleveland and play with LeBron IN Cleveland. Whether or not it was the city or the fact that they didn't want to be a part of LeBrons cockstroking I don't know...

Frankly, I don't care. When can I get tickets for the opener and buy a JJ Hickson jersey?
