Plantation standout Ryan Shazier capped his high school career Wednesday in the Under Armour All-America Game in St. Petersburg.
The very next day it was off to Columbus, Ohio, where Shazier is an early enrollee at Ohio State along with prep teammate Jeremy Cash.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Shazier played linebacker and wore No. 11 for the Red squad, which defeated the White 24-22 on a field goal with no time remaining on the clock.
Shazier, who picked Ohio State over Florida and LSU, finished the game with six tackles, including five solos.
"Plantation, that was one of my best years," Shazier said. "I've met some of my best friends there. I have a wonderful girlfriend who goes there with me.
"Me and [Jeremy] Cash are real close. I was just asking him about the weather up there [in Columbus] so I know how to dress and everything."
