Cavball, make sure you get a us a game report...and maybe a pic or two.Cavball9 said:Anyone else going to be at that Kenton @ Coldwater game this weekend? I should be there with bells on.
By the way WADC -- nice Mars Volta pic...I'm a big fan.
Dave and Jeremy are hacks...plain and simple. First off, they talk about Moeller moving to safety, eventhough we at BP have it on pretty good authority that the staff is looking at Moeller solely as a linebacker. Then they talk about Homan being overrated...despite the fact that JT and the staff saw fit to offer him the day after Signing Day. I'll take Luke Fickell, Coach JP and Coach JT's opinions before I listen to a couple of goofs. Those were poorly written summations and Ross's review was in poor taste. There is no hiding Jeremy's axe. At BP, we do our work for free and I stand by any of our evaluations as being unbiased, even when it comes to kids headed elsewhere.Cavball9 said:I know when Dave from BearcatInsider saw Ross because I was at the game. He was saying he didn't think he was all he was cracked up to be and didn't think he was as big as listed (well I think the combines proved that wrong).
He also didn't think he had what it took to play inside (I told him he was going to be a Will) and that he basically thought he was overrated. Well the OSU offer came and he is being recruited as a Will. I think I won that argument.
Ross did have a sub-par game, but what people don't notice is that our DT were getting mauled by Versailles huge OL (I think they averaged 250 last year) and Ross was getting based 1-1 blocked by Scott Broerman, arguably Versailles' best OL last year. There were some plays were he was getting doubled. Tough to shine in those situations.
I'm not going to sit here and say Ross is the next coming of Christ or anything like that, I just want to defend him when he's being called "one of the most overrated players."
Jeremy definately has an axe to grind with OSU, so take it for what it's worth. If Mixon was at OSU, you might have heard a different tune.
Whatever though, let them have fun writing about their second-tier program at Cincy.
They were all Ross.schwab said:When I got home I looked on limanews.com to find a score, and according to their boxscore of the Kenton-Coldwater game, they had a kid named Craig Homan score a 5 yard TD. I wasn't sure if Ross has a brother or cousin on the team, or if someone really dropped the ball on this one and goofed up. But the other 2 TD's just said Homan, so once again, I figured they were both Ross. Can anyone elaborate on this?
You know it may of been, but they also said that Ross scored 3 tds, so I don't know.BearBuck27 said:I could be very wrong on this, but I believe he has a little brother that's a freshman and he plays fullback, so the 5 yd. run could have been his little brother (I don't know his name).
Thanks for the clarification Cav.Cavball9 said:His little brother's name is Adam, so no.
Ross had a 5 yard TD run, a long TD catch (around 50 or so I think) and about a 30 yard INT return.
That is what I like to hear. I wonder if Kenton tried to have Burris blocking him.Cavball9 said:No, not sure how many tackles, although Kenton had their backs against the goal line one play and they tried going up the middle at Ross. Radio guy just said, "Kenton from their own 2, hand off up the middle and Ross Homan just blew up the entire line."
