Name a current starter in the back seven--especially in the secondary--who looks like a sure-fire NFL pick...go ahead, I'll wait.
People are blaming Grinch when he hasn't been here but 9-10 months. We've had issues with the back seven for at least two full seasons now, it just got exacerbated this season with player turnover and possibly some head-butting between Sciano and Grinch. At least in The Game the LBs played solid for the most part (there was only one play where a LB was clearly out of position resulting in a big run). The secondary has been the Achilles heel, more so than any season I can remember.
Anyway, back to the thread subject. I think Freeman would be a great replacement for Davis as LB coach.
