At least Williams is still on the team, and producing on special teams. So many other LBs we've recruited have left the program because of injury or boneheadedness. You wouldn't expect that kind of attrition, usually.

Cam is just a sophomore. Plenty of time to get things together.

He's only a sophomore, give him time grant has been at Osu forever it seems, and the light is just coming on. Same thing happened with Sabino as well every LB can't be Shazier, laurinitis or katzenmoyer

Absolutely! We have some very gifted LB's in Cam, Mitchell and Johnson. Give these guys time to develop.

I just said it was interesting that we don't hear about him much. Even during the offseason. Considering our depth issues I just find this interesting. I hope it doesn't point to him being a non-contributor in the future. We need him to develop into a productive LB'er. If he can cover anyone in the passing game it would be an added bonus.

Well Cam has been promoted to the kick coverage unit, though it took a Darron Lee injury to get the call-up. Continual improvement is all we can ask for.

Not that his progression will be the same, but Cam's brother Brennan only became an OL starter as a junior at UNC. He parlayed it into a 3rd round selection this past April.

Cam has a LOT of work to do. I saw him miss several tackles yesterday....entirely. He either ran right by the ball carrier or was just out of position to make the play. Not to pile on the guy but I just don't see him making an impact anytime soon. Sure hope he gets it together though. Keep grinding Cam.

He was a bit shaky early on but got better the more he played. He also made a couple good plays. An average performance with only a couple days notice that he would be starting. He will learn from this experience and only get better.

He got better as game went on because the only way to go was up. Not trying to bash the young man but I just thought he struggled mightily. I know he is only a sophomore but I just don't expect him to contribute much from what I have seen and who is coming behind him. Hope I'm wrong of course. It's amazing how far LB play has dropped.
