Actually, I would disagree with this statement slightly. I don't think there was a better player in CFB last year than Bush, yet he barely got any votes and finished 5th. Crouch and Weinke weren't the best players in their years either IMO. The Heisman has seemed to be tied to top rankings as well for your team.The Heisman isn't about gamebreakers, necessarily, it's about the best player in college football.
Just for the sake of discussion, Orlando Pace finished 4th in the heisman voting. However, I think he was more dominant at his position than AJ, and more once in a lifetime. AJ may be one of the greats that has played the position in the last decade, but Pace was hard to compare to anyone.
