Signing Day preview: Buckeyes eye top recruits
By Doug DiLillo
Published: Monday, February 1, 2010

...
A few other prospects could still end up being Buckeyes come signing day.
Latwan Anderson, a defensive back from Cleveland Glenville, picked West Virginia over OSU on national television at the U.S Army All-American game on Jan. 9.

However, Anderson is still believed to be wavering between his two choices, with many thinking OSU could be the eventual destination for the blue-chip prospect.

Glenville has long been a flowing pipeline school for Ohio State. Products such as Heisman trophy winner Troy Smith, Ted Ginn Jr., Rob Rose and Ray Small are a few of the Tarblooders who have attended OSU. Every recruiting season, OSU seems to land the top players from the Cleveland institution, but has to this point only landed defensive back Christian Bryant this year.

If OSU could gain a letter-of-intent from Anderson, it would keep the flourishing connection with Glenville at the highest level.

Rivals Radio

MF on Rivals commented that he believed there was room for LA and that there was a good chance he ends up at tOSU.

However, MF also said he does not see Big Morgan Mo making his way to C-bus and that was totally contrary to what he told me last week when I called in.

So I suppose take with a grain (pound) of salt.

Farrell's info on Anderson was posted here long ago.

Farrell's info on Moses is based solely on the fact that he thinks Moses intends to sign on Wednesday (which is false) and the only school he has visited to date that he is considering is Virginia. The real story is that Moses will likely not sign on Wednesday and will likely visit OSU some time in February, as we have been saying for days. Even Moses' coach expects him to end up at OSU, should he make it through the NCAA clearinghouse/OSU admissions.

Should all of this happen with Moses, it would be really cool to get the old 'behind the scenes' look at the this one...especially since he choice is 2+ years in the making.

As for LA, we should know pretty soon!

Pure opinion here...nothing more...but I still just don't think LA ends up here. Henderson and Moses are the two I am counting on!

All signs seem to be pointing the Buckeyes way.

which makes it even more confusing as to why he decided to announce at the Army game

oh well, maybe he just wanted to boost his ranking, because if he had been an early commit to OSU he probably wouldn't be the #1 ranked player in the state right now, after all, Ohio State not landing the #1 ranked player is a much better story

anyways, trust the coaches and so on

Henderson/Moses/Anderson would indeed be a great finish.. But it has me scratching my head a little. That's 3 guys with questionable academic standing, unless I'm mistaken. Plus weren't Hankins and Williams questionable as well?

Is there any chance Anderson has a conditional offer--namely, they'll offer him if they have "room" for him. Not room as in bodies, but room as in a number of close calls JT is allowed to offer?

I really really like Anderson as a player and I've said that for awhile. IDK about the way he's handled things, but purely as a player I really like him. Playmaker man. Intercepting Mark Myers (a 4 star QB going to Pitt) 4 times in one game, and taking those back for 196 yards is pretty amazing.

Understanding that issue is the key to understanding where his recruitment stands. IMO He announced at the Army game so he could have his moment.

Really... it didn't seem like he enjoyed it much

Though I know he didn't do it for that reason, those were my sentiments as well. No way he is still a 5 star if he committed to OSU.
