LaTwan Anderson (official thread)

We have plenty of threads on recruits without comments directed at a player's character and whether that character prevents an offer. We have rules for that.

The coaching staff knows whether character is an issue... you know, since they have met Latwan and all. If they offer him, I trust they've considered it enough... regardless of the negativity here on the board.

well, the coaches tried like heck to give Ray Small chance after chance after chance....and Ray Small did reveal something about his character by breaking team rules once again before the Rose Bowl...when the team needed him. So, to me, the coaches win some and lose some in the players' character subject.

of course it isn't fair to paint LA with a broad brush. But I certainly didn't like what I saw from the AA game.

I wish LA luck in whatever he does and hope that he develops into the man that this society needs.

The rules prevent bashing of players. Being critical of a player's (alleged) poor behavior and bashing them are not (necessarily) the same thing.

If I call Maurice Clarett a felon I'm not bashing him, I'm merely stating a fact.

Players make mistakes just like any other human being and pretending otherwise does them a disservice.

LaTwan is likely a very good kid but his actions have raised warning flags in the eyes of some...still everyone here wants him to make the decision that is best for him and to be successful in life.

...and yes this discussion has wandered too far afield.

For our "insiders"-

Does D. Brown's verbal to Louisville do anything to help open a door for Mr. Anderson?

Doesn't hurt...and we know that Anderson's "camp" has never stopped communicating with the OSU staff...

22 told you all last week that this one might not be as open/shut as it appeared:

Last ditch outcries are being made to the tOSU staff... Stay tuned...

No problem, it wasn't a violation like posting premium content, just a formatting thing. Every once in awhile even the elitists on the BPRT quote the articles like most links.
