LaTwan Anderson (official thread)

Seems like after Anderson gave his verbal, tOSU moved on to Roby and Roby took the spot. Sounds fair to me.

Yeah...fair to me too. Anderson has some potential and I'll stay away from getting too specific, but I'm actually glad it worked out the way it did. I in no way seeing us accepting a verbal from LaTwan.

Whispers: Who has the edge for top prospects?

ATH Latwan Anderson - It is likely down to West Virginia, USC or Ohio State. Anderson is committed to West Virginia, but he might visit USC this weekend. He has labeled USC his dream school, but West Virginia has been his favorite for a long time. This all depends on how things go in L.A. If he makes the trip, everyone knows Lane Kiffin and his staff will put on the full-court press.

This kid has so much talent, but it was like he verballed to WVU just to say "you guys didn't show me enough love." Which I don't get. We gave him an offer which is all the love your supposed to get if your a recruit. I'm all for bimbos, gear, drugs, cars and houses....but if you want those things while being recruited you better look South and West. I'd always rather have a kid with slightly less talent at this time in his life who wants to be here. Coach them up and they are likely to be better after a year or two....I'm disappointed because he's a Glenville kid who ought to know how much we would have wanted him. Oh well....I still wish him best of luck.

He does have the grades, which is why the staff would still accept him if he wanted to come back and play for Ohio State. That wasn't the main issue at hand here.

There must be some behind the scene stuff going on here. He has an offer?he doesn't have an offer?he has "issues"?he transfers to Glenville?.he is being tutored by Ginn Sr?..he hates most OSU fans?.he wants the attention of the OSU staff to show him more love?he declares for WVU?.he is still open to OSU. His recruitment has played out pretty weird.

Agreed. Cut him loose later if he partakes in shenanigans (or is as much of a prima donna as he's appeared to be) while he's here.

Not sure Tressel works like that. JT showed a tremendous amount of patience and loyalty to Ray Small despite all of his troubles. When a player commits to Ohio State, he commits to the player.
