Hansel & Gretel. Not my choice. Gretel was hot.
For what it was, it was entertaining. A bit muddy in
Some areas. Very predictable. The 3d was pretty good
Though. Would it have been my pick? No. Did it bother
Me to see it? Ehhh. Could have done better.

"Compliance": I'm sure I am in the distinct minority, but I actually enjoyed it. Pkuses include a simple but hauntingly effective score, a hot lead actress that wasn't terrible at acting, and an interesting little premise that was suposedly inspired by actual phone calls. But what really makes this movie is the performance of the actress that plays the overwight, advancing age, completely 100% insecure fast food manager. That performance was pure gold, and really carried the movie from start to finish. Negatives are...believability. I mean, for the first hour, if you get gullible enough people under enough stress and way too busy, it is almost (and I stress almost) semi-believeable. But in the last 30 minutes, it completely moves to ridiculousland. Still, if you go into it expecting what it is (entertainment) and not what it isn't (a believeable documentary), then you will probably enjoy your 90 minutes. I give it 3.5/5, the first hour was 4/5, but the ending just strayed too much from realistic (a la Teo) to really buy the story. Not bad though, especially for an Indie.

Zero Dark Thirty.

Great great movie. Especially the last hour.

I am concerned as to how far off this is to reality and any agenda (torture) anyone who made/watches this movie may have. I assume 80% of the audience will take it at 100% truth and things like that bother me.

Streaming on Netflix:

Four Lions - Rotten Tomatoes
Its premise suggests brazenly tasteless humor, but Four Lions is actually a smart, pitch-black comedy that carries the unmistakable ring of truth.

Really interesting movie. Part of it is a hilarious satire of militant Islam. Part of it is a thought-provoking commentary on the complexity & humanity behind the conflict.

I was prepared for humor in such an unexpected category. I wasn't prepared to be blindsided by the harsh mortality of it.

It's difficult to imagine a movie this boldly provocative about the underworld of violent jihad, much less one that actually inspires laughter.
Chris Morris's jet-black farce maintains a queasy balance between character-based comedy and incisive political commentary for its entire running time.
