Sleep Tight: Yet more evidence that French movies have 2 things almost all American films of the genre (and in general) lack, which are 1) good acting, and 2) atmosphere. This movie wasn't scary, it was a little creepy, but mostly it was entertaining and the acting was really good. Great casting as well, even the minor characters were good, so the movie had some depth. Oh, and for those who hate the lame bullshit cookie cutter happily ever after endings...you are in luck. 4/5, really liked it.

I tend to live by the "to each his own" when it comes to movies, but... REALLY? I cannot fathom how even if you didn't like the movie you found it to be "boring".

"Amber Alert": You might have seen this on Netflix or Amazon Instant Video as a new inie suspense/horror flick. The good: An interesting premise that a person could actually find themselves in, and an attractive girl in that sort of Tina Fey kind of way. The bad: everything else. This movie was terrible, and there is nothing good to say about it otherwise. 1.5/5 only because I like found footage movies and the first 15-20 minutes were not bad...the rest was awful, and the last 30 minutes was beyond awful. It reminds me of why I usually watch foreign horror movies...an average one of those is so much better than most American movies it isn't even funny.
