I can count how many worse movies I've seen on one hand. Maybe only two.. 2012 and Tremors 4. Then I think I'd put The Black Dahlia there. It was that bad.

And yeah, there is a Tremors 4. And I watched it.

I really didn't mind 2012 for what it was. Not a great movie, but kept moving and had a lot of F/X. I would put it over any of the LOtR movies although I'm biased because I hated the first steaming pile so much for making me sit through 3 hours of gayness without the payoff of an ending. Fuck that whole franchise.
Burn After Reading and Up in the Air were hugely disappointing as well for getting a lot of press. I would even take the Black Dahlia over either of those. I'll watch Mia Kirshner get naked any time although it always seems to happen in crappy movies. I'm glad I didn't pay to see Wolverine, but I don't go to the theater much so that isn't hard.
Is the consensus on the new X-Men movie that it's worth seeing in the theater? Might have to save money and rent it on blu-ray in a few months.

This feels as if it needs it's own thread... but I'd add:

Gone Fishin'

One summer, we played the "let's drive to the multiplex, but we have to see whatever movie starts closest to the time we get there". If there was a tie, we went with closest theater to the door.

This was the movie that not only stopped that game, but made us each punch the guy who'd come up with the idea two months earlier.

Black Dahlia was fucking horrible, I mean really fucking horrible, I agree. I never saw these 2 movies of which you speak, but it would take me some effort to come up with movies I have seen that are worse than that one.

Tremors 4 shouldn't be compared to any of the movies we're talking about here. It wasn't exactly a big-budget, or even a small-budget movie. More like a no-budget movie. Either way, 2012 wasn't even entertaining to me. It was just fucking stupid. I wanted all of the characters to die for a variety of reasons. And considering what the plot was and the fact that many of them lived, it pissed me off.

The end of the world was out-run by a limo.

EDIT: Yeah, I know I brought up Tremors 4, just felt bad for bashing it compared to a ridiculous summer blockbuster.

The end of the world wasn't outran by a limo. It was outran by great driving by Jackson Curtis. Yes, the same Jackson Curtis that wrote Farewell Atlantis. HE DROVE THRU A FUCKING COLLAPSING BUILDING!

Saw Unstoppable on Blu-ray with the wife, primarily because some of it was filmed in Brewster. I was surprised though, it was a pretty entertaining movie. Not epic, but worth seeing to me anyway.

I'd probably rate it a little below average.
