UM will take Kalis regardless. He is that good. You accept his verbal and find room later.

The longer things go for kids like Washington, Kalis, McMullen, etc. the better OSU's chances. If they wait it out until the end, the NCAA's decision on OSU should be handed down and the permanent coaching situation resolved. Barring post-season bans beyond 2011, OSU should be able to put together a respectable class...top half of the Big 10 at worst. And then it's on to kids like Mathie, Burrows, Price, Smith, etc.

Agreed.

Whether it be with a brand new head coach or with coach Fickell and a long term contract, Ohio State is going to have some serious momentum moving forward.

Kids that wait until late in the process can get swept up in it, if not, 2013 kids will.

Either Luke Fickell will be named permanent HC or we'll have a new, different HC before signing day. Either way, I see plenty of the young men who have waffled up to now making the decision to become Buckeyes.

It's really no surprise that we have so few commitments, or that several key recruits have decommitted. The real surprise, frankly, is that we have any commitments at all given the uncertainty in the program.

We're the home town team and that means a lot. I'm a life long Cleveland Browns fan. Need I say more?

My understanding is that Kyle visited Ann Arbor today and returned home this evening, and had polite things to say, but nothing that seemed to reinforce the "He's a Wolverine!" talk we heard earlier in the week.

Mods- please move if this is more appropriate for the Rumor Mill.

I'm not saying this as fact...just pure speculation....

Maybe he went up there to recruit for tOSU.

Crazier things have happened.

I want to believe that. In fact, I did believe that, until he officially de-committed from tOSU.

Could be the case, would be awesome if true.

According to a TSUN fan on another forum, the Bank disagrees. Said something along the lines of "The next time Kalis steps foot in Ohio Stadium will be as an opponent." (Mods - this may be premium, not sure. Take it out if it is, but I just copy and pasted what the TSUN fan said on another forum) Granted, this was around 3PM, so things could've changed, but I'll trust the Bank until proven wrong.

They are expecting 2-3 verbals this weekend (Not including Jeremy Clark).

Yeah, I'm not saying I believe that...just a funny thought I had.

I mean...committing is just that...committing.

He would be a legend from day one if that were the case.

I was told since it was an unofficial visit, he was only allowed to be on campus for 48 hours. Came up Thursday, left Friday night. I think this is why I stopped following recruiting so closely a couple years ago. It's so up and down every day it's hard to really know what's going on......
