I don't think the whole early enrollment thing is as important as some may think and I don't think him not enrolling yet means he's not going to Texas. Jordan seems like a very intelligent and grounded kid, I think he realizes making the right decision for himself is more important than rushing the decision just to enroll early.

May be stating the obvious but I think our chances of having him enroll here in March grow exponentially each day he doesn't commit elsewhere. What a star we would land should he come here.

Well, not to state the obvious, but you are working off of the assumption that Hicks wants to enroll early somewhere. Be patient and we will eventually find out.

My question is, aren't high school years on semesters, and Jordan said over the summer that he wanted to graduate in December to enroll early?

Well, either he's done with school or not. If he graduated, then OSU looks good, but if he didn't, then it means nothing. And he continues to play b-ball, it looks like he's still in school and didn't graduate in December. Am I wrong?

At my high school, early graduates graduate in December, but I'm not sure if that's typical. I don't know if it is on a school-by-school basis, or what. I go to an Ohio school, so if it is a state based thing, then Jordan has not graduated early.

Both valid points that I hadn't taken into account. I'll look into the HS graduating early thing. I was under the impression that you could graduate on a quarterly basis in HS but I'm really not sure.
Also, I guess I just assumed he (Jordan) was steadfast on graduating early because I had read it so often. But who knows at this point. Not sure what his plans are. He doesn't come out with much to the media very often. Good news is, we are one of his final three.

Not sure if I shared this earlier or not. But on a side not, I remember walking to the OSU-USC game from Skull Session and seeing Lamarcus Joyner, James Louis, and Jordan Hicks walking to the game. I was sober so I guess I didn't have the courage to "O-H" any of them (I know, sad and embarrassing but what can I say) but I did get a chance to walk alongside them. Jordan was with a group of HS guys that I didn't recognize and same for Louis. Both seemed pretty excited and pumped up. Joyner was by himself, just seemed to be taking it all in. Anyways, it's been my thoughts that if Jordan goes somewhere else, it's not because he doesn't fit in or have fun here. Dude looked like he was having a great time and really soaking in the experience. If nothing else, we have that going for us.

With the talk of him playing basketball, it reminds me of the Pryor recruitment and him putting it off until after basketball season. It was speculated that this was done because Pryor would be playing the championship game in State College and did not want to play before a scorned crowd if he signed with OSU before the championship game. I hope this is not the case with Hicks not wanting sign with Texas before he plays basketball in Columbus.
