Well then his situation is vastly different than Pryors, where his team was all but a shoe in to make and win the championship game

Weekend was hard to predict

West Chester, Ohio, Lakota West linebacker Jordan Hicks is the hardest guy to read. Oh, that?s because he doesn?t talk about recruiting with the media. There are plenty of rumors about him being silently committed to Florida. Some even think that Ohio State has the advantage. And I don?t know why people are already counting out Texas. Regardless, Texas, Florida and Ohio State have a chance to land him, and one school will be very happy ? and exhausted ? come Signing Day.

Ohio: College football recruiting heats up in Southwest Ohio
Wyoming senior DL Jibreel Black orally commits to Michigan over the weekend.

Meanwhile, West Chester Lakota West senior linebacker Jordan Hicks, who is rated among the nation?s top players, continues to evaluate his options. He is considering Ohio State, Texas and Florida as his final choices.
Hicks, who was the Division I state defensive co-player of the year this past season, is expected to make a college decision by Feb. 3.
Lakota West coach Larry Cox said Hicks is handling the spotlight well. Cox said he isn?t sure when Hicks will commit but said the standout has been doing well in staying focused during the process.
"He?s not your typical high-profile athlete who thinks he is God?s gift to football," Cox told the Columbus Dispatch. "He?s the kind of kid who is going to make your program better just by being on your team. He?s humble, he?s hard-working and he?s smart."

My thoughts are that Texas, historically, does not land big out of state recruits. However, Texas (historically) has not had Will Muschamp on their side either.
I am 50/50 on this between tOSU and UT

Our insiders here have him 3 to 1 in favor of UT. I'd say that's about the general feel among connected folk on other sites.
Good to have you back, HL. Don't be a stranger.
All-Ohio football standout Hicks busy on hardcourt
By RUSTY MILLER, The Associated Press
Updated: Tuesday, January 26, 2010
His name is on a lot of people's tongues these days, and not because of his basketball prowess.
But Lakota West standout linebacker Jordan Hicks is also a standout on the court. A senior, Hicks scored 16 points to lead the Firebirds to a 46-45 upset last week of Cincinnati Princeton, which was the big-school state runner-up in March. Hicks also had five rebounds.
Hicks has narrowed his football choices to Florida, Ohio State and Texas, and says he has no clear-cut favorite at the moment.
The news on Hicks seems to be pointing toward the Buckeyes across the board... Things look good, Buckeye fans. I would say I have gone from surprised to see him be a Buckeye to shocked to see him not at this point.
