Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel signed autographs and memorabilia for dealers in two additional sessions -- one in South Florida after the Discover BCS National Championship Game in early January; the other in late January in Houston, sources have told "Outside the Lines."

Florida-based autograph dealer Kevin Freistat backed and helped organize the additional two sessions, sources with knowledge of the events said. The sessions add to the other four signings reported last week by "Outside the Lines."

I'm surprised Burke had time to write that article in-between freaking out about spam-bots on Twitter.

Fascinating article, though. I would assume odds are he gets booted, right? Obviously anything can happen, but sure seems like shit is getting worse by the day for him.

I wouldn't bet on that. This is the SEC we're talking about here, and aggy knows how big that early season bammer game is. I'd wager he ends up playing, and...really going out on a limb here...the ncaa finds no wrong doing (sometime in 2017). All that said, I think it's safe to say his exploits have doomed his chances for Heisman #2...

Another great quote from Deadspin's Tim Marchman:

There was Uncle Nate, a high school teammate named Bryan and Johnny's buddy Colton from College Station. Everyone stood around, the band warming up. Without so much as a nod, the Crotch Shot Ninjas struck: Paul punched Nate in the nuts, and, simultaneously, Johnny kicked Bryan and hit Colton, both in the balls, both at the same time, and as the three dudes doubled over and the band howled in laughter, Johnny and Paul gave each other a fist bump. Mission accomplished.

In that anecdote you can see the future of America: a rich douchebag and his jackass son kicking their flunkeys in the balls, forever. It's a nice bit of reporting that buttresses some of the other nice reporting here. A man who would do this, and raise a son who would do this, is exactly the sort who would buy all the drinks for a son who's giving every sign of having a serious drinking problem. It kind of explains Johnny Football.
