Johnny Manziel (unemployed)

Manziel had a metoric rise to fame and has not handled it well. Pryor was to be Lebron or Tiger a can't miss phenom..who was going to change college football with his size and physical skills. He bought into all of it and anything less than Heismans ans NC's were going to be a let down.

Really? I feel like Manziel is getting MORE bad press than Ohio State did. Right now he's getting more bad press than a cheater named A Rod and a murderer named Hernandez.

Come on man. As soon as his innocent team mates start getting pulled into it because they own a car or have a tatt, I'll agree. There's no pulitzer winner posted up in College Station. Also, not one media outlet was defending anyone associated with tOSU.

In three weeks when Herbstreit spends five minutes of the Georgia/Clemson broadcast to talk about how Joeckel, Evans, and Swope probably did it too, then we can all have this conversation again.

And if Uncle Nate is being paid by the Manziel family to be Johnny Hancock's personal assistant/business manager then how is he not an agent?

Bingo. The Cecil Newton 'loophole' is now closed. Uncle Nate is going to be the one that lands Johnny Football in hot water.

Alarm bells should have been going off for Paul Manziel when Nate Fitch started using the nominative "we" to describe how much money "they" were spending on security guards and private dining rooms.

But what if Johnny says "I didn't know Nate was charging money."

Have you read what daddy has been quoted as saying? I am thinking he knew 100% what was going on and, like a good money badger, didn't give a fuck.

I don't think Paul Manziel is making those statements flaunting or acknowledging rule breaking. Honestly, at this point I think the Manziel family doesn't give a fuck about the NCAA when the coach gets a million dollar raise, the University gets millions of dollars in donations to build a new facility to house Johnny's Heisman, and Johnny gets a therapist.

The kid went from having to use a fake ID in bars to needing a police escort to walk home from the football stadium in the span of three months. I think papa Manziel is genuinely worried about his son imploding Maurice Clarett-style.

He'll have plenty of time to do that when we're up 28 points at the start of the 4th!
