If you have an agent involved with a player, maybe. If you have multiple agents involved and half the team being investigated it's hard to just blame a "sleazy agent."

Brian Clifton, Wall's AAU coach is supposedly the agent in question. He was an agent and the renounced his license. He was a big player in setting up Wall's Rebook deal.

Our good buddy Scott Drew, hired Clifton's brother Dwon as director of player development to try and lure Wall to Waco.

There have been several occasions in recent years in which the NCAA has been made to look like a meaningless body that has no powers (e.g., USC).

Calipari is not stupid enough to not realize it's time to lay low when guys like Bobby Knight are pointing to you as the poster child for noncompliance. Can he?

Kentucky coach John Calipari says junior guard Darnell Dodson will not play for the Wildcats this season.

Calipari posted on his Facebook page Sunday night that while Dodson is academically eligible, he won't be with the team when it travels to Canada for a series of exhibition games later this month. Calipari gave no reason behind the decision.

Dodson averaged 6.0 points as a sophomore last season, leading Kentucky with 50 3-pointers.

Calipari says Dodson could return to the team ''if he meets our standards.''
