Posts like the previous one need a link.

How to Link

First copy the URL into your clipboard with alt-C. Then type 'link' or 'ESPN' or 'whatever' inside your post, then highlight it with your mouse click, then click on the blue globe icon with the chain-link under it, then paste (Alt-V) the URL into the window that pops up and the hit the OK button.

It's also preferable to have any text that's brought across from the link copied inside a quote box, so it's obvious what somebody's typing and what they've copied in from the link.

I know how to link, I thought it was there when I posted it. my bad.

Let's see what we have here:

A Chicago Public School league kid with a very involved father/handler/agent is shopping his kid around through the AAU process and they meet up with the University of Kentucky which is currently being coached by John Calipari.

Nope, nothing to see here. I can't think of how this confluence of factors could possibly lead to anything shady.

More money issues for UK:

Kentucky recruit Enes Kanter received more than $100,000 in cash and benefits while he played for a professional team in Turkey, the club's general manager told The New York Times.

ESPN

The general manager, Nedim Karakas, said the team provided Kanter and his family with between $100,000 and $150,000 starting when Kanter was 14 and he and his family moved from the Turkish capital of Ankara to Istanbul.

The NCAA permits prospects to remain eligible if they receive basic expenses like room and board while playing for a professional team overseas. But Karakas told The New York Times that Kanter's family received more because he was an elite prospect.

You guys don't think anything shady is going on here? Naaaaahh

"In a telephone conversation with The Birmingham News, the Algebra 3 teacher, Larry Webster, said the final course grade recorded on the night-school grade report is wrong. "You've got the wrong grade. There are two of those printout sheets. I already talked to the (school) board attorney." He said he wouldn't comment further and hung up."

Parker guidance counselor Susan Parks, who is listed as the high school's primary eligibility contact with the NCAA, also declined to comment on why two documents showed different Algebra 3 grades recorded for Bledsoe.

"I can't answer that intelligently, because I'm not looking at the transcript and anything on the transcript is supposed to be confidential information," Parks said. "I don't feel well discussing that with you."

"Bledsoe's transcript shows that he got his 90 in Algebra 3 during the first semester of his senior year, prior to taking Algebra 2 during the second semester"

"With the exception of a B in English 10 at Woodlawn's summer school to make up for a failing grade, Bledsoe did not receive a grade higher than a C in any core class before Parker. He received an A or B in seven of his 10 core classes while attending Parker, according to the transcript."

not sounding to good on this one.......BUT, what does Calipari have to do with it?

You're right it could simply be the kid and/or the high school that are 'cheating' but given the fact Calipari already had issues with transcripts and Rose, i'm not willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Kentucky freshman center Enes Kanter must sit out all team activities until the NCAA determines his amateur status.

The 6-foot-11 Kanter played on a club team in Turkey in 2008-09. The NCAA is reviewing whether Kanter received any extraordinary benefits during his time with the team, which would be a violation of the NCAA's amateur policy.

Kanter had received a 45-day grace period that allowed him to practice while the team prepared for an exhibition trip to Canada in August. The school then received an extension that ran out Thursday.

NCAA spokesman Chuck Wynne says Kanter is prohibited from practicing until his situation is resolved.

Kentucky coach John Calipari has said he believes Kanter will get to play for the Wildcats this season.
I don't think so John:shake: We got shafted by some players from Europe so why shouldn't you guys.
