Disappointing to hear Cal is trying to get a kid to switch his commitment right after he makes it. I guess it shows how desperate Cal is to get some more talent on his roster next year. Right now I don't know if they'll even fill up enough spots to be able to go 5-on-5. Enes Kanter, the only big man who's expected to be on their team next year who's any good, may well be ineligible due to amateurism issues.

John Calipari's first University of Kentucky team performed much better on the court than in the classroom. Its fall semester grades were the worst of all 20 UK athletic teams and the worst of any UK men's basketball team since spring 2002.
The same Kentucky team that won the Southeastern Conference regular-season and post-season tournament championships had a cumulative grade-point average of 2.025 for the fall semester, according to records obtained by the Herald-Leader through an open records request. That was the worst of nine SEC schools that gave their men's basketball GPAs to the newspaper.

The hammer fell at UMass - and Calipari's ass was gone.

It fell at Memphis - and Calipari's ass was gone.

Those programs faced sanctions.

Calipari is the highest paid coach in College Basketball.

As soon as he sniffs any sort of investigation he will leave Kentucky to tuck his ass safely out of the way of the falling hammer (maybe Petey can put him up at the beach house).

I was talking to a UK fan while UK was still in the tourney and said that even if UK won it all they would just have to take the banners down in 5 years.

His response - "So what?"

the Kentucky basketball APR is bound to catch up to him sooner or later and my money is on sooner. Nothing will stop him short of NCAA sanctions.

what is even more classless about this is that his high school teammate, who is a very good player, committed to the Huskies at the same time probably thinking that Jones would follow suit until the phone call from Cal:tongue2:

  • During which calendar year will the NCAA take away Kentucky victories "earned" under Calipari and WW Wes
  • During which calendar year will the NCAA first state that a player recruited to Kentucky by Calipari and WW Wes was ineligible
  • During which upcoming calendar year will Kentucky fans think Calipari and WW Wes had the greatest recruiting class of all team but yet they fail to reach the NCAA title game like OSU did (legally) or M!ch!g*n did (illegally)
