Clausen Plans USC Visit
By Phil Kornblut
Junior QB Jimmy Clausen (6-3 190) of Westlake Village, CA plans to attend Junior Day at USC February 25th along with several of his teammates including highly regarded RB Mark Tyler. Clausen and his teammates attended junior days at Notre Dame and Tennessee. According to sources, Clausen and a few of his teammates would like to attend the same school, and USC may present them with the best option for doing that. Clausen also has been considering Southern Cal and Michigan. USC coaches have been barred from contacting Clausen for offering him before the allowable date. That ban is due to expire next week.

UT After Clausen & Friends
By Phil Kornblut
If being surrounded by familiar faces in college is important to him, then QB Jimmy Clausen (6-3 190) of Westlake Village, CA might take another look at Tennessee. According to Clausen's coach Bill Redell, the Vols have offered scholarships to Clausen and five of his teammates. Of course, Clausens two brothers both quarterbacked at Tennessee. But according to Redell, Tennessee is not a major factor right now. "It's Notre Dame, Southern Cal and South Carolina as far as I now right now, in that order," Redell said. The coach added that to his knowledge USC has not yet offered any of Clausen's teammates. Clausen has been to junior days at Notre Dame and Tennessee and is expected, along with some of his teammates, to attend junior day at USC later this month.
Especially if he turns out to be as overrated as his two brothers.
WOW... They are going all out. The RB that is his teammate (Marc Tyler) is big-time, but to offer 5 guys to try and get one is a tad excessive...<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
Its obvious right now that Fulmer is under a ton of pressure to bring the program back to where it was in the late 90's. Its the first time personally I have heard of 5 teammates being offered in the hopes of landing one prospect.
