Jim Tressel (National Champion, ex-President, Youngstown State University, CFB HOF)

I searched for this topic, so sorry if this has already been brought up. I have been voting for Tress for a couple of days now, and I think he needs more help for coach of the year. Please vote at Coach of The Year I don't know what the prize is, but you can only vote once per day. Some how people think that Stoops is the coach of the year. But I don't see how a team with one loss can be. After the coaching job Tress has done this year (and every year) after loosing 95% of last years offensive production, I believe he deserves it.

I did substantiate my claim when I posted the team offense and defense statistics and our rating. Perhaps you missed it while you were spewing more fanboy posts. Read the stats regarding from 2004-2007 and you'll see what I was referring to. Or don't, and live in ignorance. Your choice. The facts of that post bear out EXACTLY my original premise. Namely, that our defense is our relative strength while JT is primarily focused on the offense. Nowhere in there is there an assisination of JT as an offensive mind or derogitory comments about the offense. Merely that the D is our RELATIVE strength.

let's do this: take '04 out of the equation, and just use '05-'07 to support your claim.

hint: we're averaging 34 (33.81) points per game over the last 33 games.

In my 5 years as a student at tOSU Jim Tressel has won:
50 Games
3 BCS bowls
4 Total Bowl Wins
1 National Championship,
And 4 wins against TSUN.
Its almost hard to believe.
Thank you JT for making my college experience an incredible one!

One of my favorite moments, was watching Tressel come out of the tunnel, and lead us on the field against Miami, in the Title game. I knew we were going to win, he was jumping up and down with a look of total focus.

No matter what, Tressel is my hero.

All-purpose recruiter
Football recruits aren't the only ones impressed with Tressel's wood-worked and roomy office inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. He has served as a recruiter for several sports.
"Last weekend a men's volleyball recruit was in my office, two or three women's ice hockey recruits, Sunday afternoon there's a women's soccer recruit coming in and there was a basketball recruit this weekend that they brought his coach through," Tressel said. "We're all in it to help one another."

Maybe best team of Tressel era didn't win it all

[FONT=Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif]COLUMBUS ? It?s much too early to include this year?s Ohio State football team in the debate about which one has been Jim Tressel?s best team.
There is much to accomplish before this team can get into that discussion. Any of the next four regular-season games or the bowl game could knock the unbeaten and top-ranked Buckeyes down a few spots on the Tressel?s best list.
The obvious choice for the best team in the Tressel era is the 2002 team. You can?t accomplish more than it did. You can?t do better than winning a national championship.
Last year?s team could have made a good case for itself if it had remembered to show up for the national title game.

That's absolutely awesome!
