Jersey / Uniform Discussion (OSU)

Did Michigan or Alabama wear black? Is USC going to wear black... or gray or puce if Phil decides that all uniforms should feature puce?

As for the Yankees: The New York Yankees have generally shunned the practice of third jerseys. The Yankees wore three different jerseys in 1911, 1916, and most recently in 1943 according to the Dressed to the Nines database maintained by the National Baseball Hall of Fame. In recent years, the Yankees have worn throwback uniforms for single games in 1996 and 2012. And you can bet they looked like the real thing.
They also don't allow facial hair. Because they're pretty dumb about stuff like that.

Here's an idea- since we're jazzed about going non-traditional why don't we rent this tunnel for the players to run out from? It would tie the whole Black Night thing together!

And this music blasting throughout the shoe ......

Yeah, those were really edgy and didn't look identical on TV without zooming way in:

The point is that OSU fans like to point to Alabama as not "whoring themselves to Nike" with alternate jerseys. Which isn't accurate, if "whoring" is the word we'll use. On 2 separate occasions the alternate jerseys they wore were sold for profit. They were different than the usual jerseys.

Barely and both looked just like Alabama to the average fan.

I'm with Marcus on BSB. Do it but stop lying about why you're doing it.

Do they have black in their colors like we do? No.

Sure black is our 3rd and very under utilized color but it's a COLOR of ours.

USC- red/gold
Yankees- Blue/white
ttun- vomit

That's why you've seen Georgie go to all black uniforms. They have black as a 3rd color (although very subtle like ours)

Who the shit cares. We get 12 guaranteed games a year of our buckeye and i'll be damned if i'm upset that they aren't playing in the same uniforms they've always played in.

Good times. I still think this entire idea is dumb, mainly because the uniforms are fucking ugly. I may change my tune when I actually see the team in them, but for now they're hideous. Plus the idea that Ohio State needs to do anything as gimmicky as a "black out" or whatever is asinine. I remember when fans drunk off their asses shouting obscenities was enough to get opposing teams to [Mark May] their pants.
Uh, we're still allowed to get drunk off our asses and shout obscenities aren't we? Just checking because of all the politically correct, starch in yer undies types that seem to be turning up everywhere nowadays.
