Actually, there's a very noticeable difference, just like there's a noticeable difference between crimson and regular red. The red of the throwback helmet is definitely neither #FF0000 or #FF2400 red...more like #AA0000.

The difference is very similar to the difference between Green and Black

Yea the stripe would break up some of the monotony, I almost feel that there should be some gray in the stripe though, maybe like our current away jerseys where the stripes on the arms have gray?

The top four are probably going to be annual teams (maybe for a while).

I don't believe Alabama is a repeat from last year. Texas and Oklahoma had them last year, but don't this year. Virginia Tech is another repeat.

Id have to wait to see them forreal but i like the WWII sleeve and the Flag on the shoulder. But again id have to see them in jersey form not a layout..

Does the flag have 48 stars? If it has 50, this isn't a true throwback.

Thanks. Is it just me, or are the numerals on the football jersey white and the "1942" on the T-shirt gray? I prefer the gray numerals over the white ones on the football jersey.

I'm too lazy to find the picture in this thread, but the "block O" is on the palm side of the gloves and when the players put their hands together it forms around the gap.

While I agree that the red (or "scarlet" for you blind people) with stripes would look awesome, it would still make people complain that the "throwback" uniform isnt a true "throwback".

Look back to last years pages when the other alternate with the white helmet was put out. You will see people say its not a true throwback because it has a lot of modern items to it.

No matter what Nike did, there would still be complaining. I think Nike did a great job, IMO.

If the flag is a patch, and not an actual part of the jersey design itself, then it should be the current 50-star flag.
