OK... After seeing all of this I do have a little egg on my face. I don't like the idea of gimmick uniforms at all still, but if we must put up with them, the ones they've brought about for this year are pretty damn sharp.

Now, if we can just get people to stop referring to the helmets as "red". It's one thing for a scUM blogger or some other outsider to do it. It's quite another for a Buckeye to call it "red" instead of "scarlet" like I've seen throughout the last several pages of this thread. :shake:

I will say that I like the Boise St helmet and the WVU jerseys.

I think the Sooner's got the shaft, their uniform looks pretty much the same as their regular ones.

Frankly, the American Flag can stay forever if they want. I didnt think the Sooner's have a new uni. Did you mean "Bama?

IMO, its hard to call them "scarlet" because they look red. Until I see them outside of the web and in the sun, they will still look red to me.

-Leroy, you are correct, I mean Bama. They look good, but other than the collar and the band on the sleeve, the sceme seems to be the same.

Any details on when each team will be wearing their alternate uniform?

Generally not a big fan of alternates, I'm in the camp of "tOSU doesn't need to do that sort of thing" but these look pretty damn good.

I think I would still rather see our regular helmets for THE GAME though. That uni would still look great with our regular silver helmets. I always love seeing the helmets with all of the leaves on them at the end of the year. If have have to do the alternate uni thing, I think I would rather see it for the Miami game.

Still, all that being said, they did a pretty great job with theses. Don't like the t-shirt though. "Earned" was an instant classic.

Tell ya what, when they actually color the helmet scarlet, we'll call it that. The shade of red of the helmet they have now is not scarlet, way too dark.

Red... Scarlet... There's very little difference between #FF0000 and #FF2400. Regardless of what one thinks the helmet looks like, when Ohio State wears it, it's scarlet in my book.
