Jameis Winston (QB Browns)

I wonder if there's also proof she was drugged.
Regarding the decision to bench him -- keep in mind FSU's 2nd string QB just had surgery a week ago. Not sure who their 3rd string QB is. I imagine they should be able to beat Idaho w/o even fielding a QB... but [shrugs]

Test links Winston's DNA to accuser

A DNA analysis completed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on Tuesday confirmed that DNA provided by Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston matched the sample taken from the underwear of a woman who has accused him of sexual battery.
According to the DNA analysis report, a copy of which was viewed by ESPN.com on Wednesday, the Florida state crime lab determined that the chances of the DNA in the woman's underwear are a match for someone other than Winston was one in 2.2 trillion.

Police obtained a sexual assault kit on Dec. 7, 2012, when the accuser reported the alleged incident had occurred at an off-campus apartment. Winston's DNA was recently obtained through a buccal swab he provided to authorities investigating the case.

The DNA match alone does not prove that Winston, a leading Heisman Trophy candidate, sexually assaulted the woman, as the accuser's family claimed in a statement released by a Tampa-based attorney on Wednesday. But it does indicate that Winston, who has yet to talk to Tallahassee police or the state attorney investigating the case, had his DNA associated with the accuser on Dec. 7, 2012, when the accuser claimed she was sexually assaulted.

William Meggs, the state attorney for the 2nd Judicial Circuit, said his office is still investigating the case, which was only referred to his office by Tallahassee police last week.

"Everybody wants to know what's going on," Meggs said earlier Wednesday. "So do we. We're in the process of trying to figure out what's going on. We haven't determined how it's going to turn out."

Just relax folks. I have been on a search for FACTS and EVIDENTS and went to the only authoritative source - an FSU message board.

What I learned is that people have heard from various (unnamed) sources that the girl in question has always wanted Winston, that her own girlfriend is willing to testify on Winston's behalf, and that she has maintained contact with Winston after the alleged incident. (Granted, these FACTS and EVIDENTS are slightly different than they were prior to the DNA results when the two had never met or if they had met had never had contact,)

I further learned that Winston will be cleared by Monday according to another unnamed source.

Finally, there is absolutely no EVIDENTS that any shoes changed hands during this entire ordeal.

It's all good.

http://espn.go.com/college-football...-good-lesson-jameis-winston-says-jimbo-fisher

Jameis Winston made headlines this week, claiming he hoped to avoid "Manziel disease," a reference to the off-field issues surrounding Heisman winner Johnny Manziel, and in the process the Florida State quarterback got a firsthand lesson on how tough media scrutiny can be.

.....

Winston was the star of Florida State's annual fall media day session Sunday, entertaining a throng of reporters with a few quick-witted barbs and witticisms. When the topic turned to Manziel, Winston said he hoped to avoid the same public scrutiny the Texas A&M quarterback.
"If I get Manziel disease, I want every one of you all to get your mikes and start slapping me on the head," Winston joked.
