WOO! Full, [Mark May]ty day of work/class/lab reports made a bit better by this news. Let's get it...

If nothing else, locker room confidence will rise... and that can't be understated. Oh, and having another badass cover guy + a do-everything back won't hurt either.

EDIT: It's pretty hilarious that to find this story on secspn.com, you have to go to their NCAAFB section, while all the stories about the players being suspended were about 4 lines from the top on the home page. Fucking bitches.

Those that think this isn't a big deal are crazy in my honest IMO. Jordan Hall is the most dynamic and biggest playmaker on our team. He gives defenses an awful lot to think about and our offense was essentially built around him this camp. I won't be surprised if Hyde gets the start at tailback but I'll be shocked to see Jordan off the field the majority of the time. He'll be on the field for punts, kicks, playing wide out, playing tail back, hell maybe even QB in the wildcat.

Hall was to be our starting fucking RB, how anyone could suggest this isn't a big boost is beyond me. I'm not calling for a win just because of it, but this is definitely a big freaking deal.

Article from Doug Lesmerises

meat of the story - conflicting info on Booster or Former player/teammate
The NCAA continued to ask questions about the violations committed at the dinner, but cleared the players today. A part of the NCAA statement read, "According to the facts submitted by the university, the money was provided by a university booster."
In Ohio State's initial self-report, two of the suspended players said they received money from a former teammate, while another said it came from a booster.

Wouldnt a former player/teammate be consider a booster after they were finished playing?

There's a possibility that he was still a teammate back in February.

It's also possible that some guys answered the question with who actually handed it to them and others answered it with who they knew the money to have come from; even though that person (a booster) didn't individually pass it out - he could have given all of the money to one player (or former player) to have him distribute it to the other players. Thus the potential discrepancy in the stories, even though they were all being forthcoming in how they answered the question.

That's all just speculation on my part, but it's a plausible reason for the delay in their reinstatements.
